Best Video Games Of All Time

Ya I think he’s talking about tomba, i played the first game when i was like 6 or 7, and i played the second one on that demo he’s talking about

I forgot to mention the age of empires series! mainly age of empires two though, the best in my opinion.

Has anyone talked about SimCity series (except Societies, damned child sandbox)? The SC4 is the game that’ll never become boring for me (with addons offcourse  ). Europa Universalis 2 is very playable, too.

Yes, Age of Empires was fun. So was Heroes of Might and Magic.

And Earthbound, as mentioned earlier ,is also a great one.

I have a lot of favorite games that I think are the best!

  1. Super Mario Galaxy

I think FPS/RTS games are the greatest games ever, closely followed by RPGs. And I love games with a great story.

Oh, the umbrealla Chronicles for Wii, I gorgot about that game. It was majorly fun…Espcially in the dark, with sound turned waay up.

Now, I must admit I also like the Sims 1/2 series.

oh good idea Tcc to divide them up depending on the hardware used.

so…

arcade - old computer
Pacman
Konami’s King’s Valley

megadrive
Toejam and Earl (the original one, not the sequel)
King’s Bounty

playstation
Final Fantasy VII and VIII
Diablo
The Bard’s Tale (the only game that I really enjoyed the cut scenes  )

it’s called tombi where i live (New Zealand)
it’s really odd that they had different names for it.

2 was great, but for some reason 3 wasn’t very good.

ff7 = absolute awesome,

my fave game ever has to be prince of persia the sands of time, was an amazing game, atmosphere, story and characters. Seriously, if you see it in a shop buy it!!

(…let’s pretend the other prince of persia games don’t exist…)

Agreed, I remember playing that game for Gamecube. I loved it, it was so innovative.

Remember the old Medal of Honor games? For the first PlayStation? I played those non stop for a while.

I haven’t played anything for a while, in my opinion a waste of time :meh:

Im currently going through the original Fallout and Fallout 2 (still need to finish F1 before i go too far in F2) so far i can tell why they are hailed so universally.

First the biggest feature that makes it brilliant is its choice and balancing, in a lot of RPGs for example Oblivion you choose to be a charismatic healing mage with good bartering skills then kiss any chance of surviving most combat encounters at all especially late game where auto-leveling essentially makes you weak as a kitten.

Now fallout i walked out of the vault with high energy weapons with heroic intelligence and perception, this made me very vulnerable early game but later as i finally got ahold of some energy weapons things showed how in this game things balance so well with my early investment paying off as the super mutants fell in 2 shot from a laser rifle.

Only complaints for now are how you have a limited ability to work with partners and how the science skill is useless which i hear is substantially improved in F2.

Oh,haven’t playedZelda things…

But i sure like Crash Bandicoot games, and Ratchet and Clank.Oh,and the Gothic series.

My PC isn’t very good…I will get a new one and all sorts of great games, like SPORE,Gothic 3,MountAndBlade,Heroes V and all sorts of fun games.

Fallout 3 is incredible.

I like fallout 3, but the minus is that there is no onlinemode

But I think my favorite is BF: Bad Company :cool_raz:

Fallout 3 does not need an online mode.

Why not? I like the game and its perfect, but I want to be with my friends and explore the world, its a different feeling.

But fallout 3 is epic, I like the story, its a perfect game

Fallout 3 is an RPG not an MMO, there would be no point giving the moniker Fallout 3 to a mumorperger. Besides the games mechanics like VATS, inventory and the way in which first person combat works (that is highly inaccurate even point blank with the reticle on the target as well as the fact that well its feel is built on the brutality fallout is known for.

In Fallout you can sleep with prositutes for the hell of it and is actually an effective stratergy for getting supplies early game, killing children is allowed and lets not forget bloody mess, but all of this is overshadowed by the fact you are alone (well bar dogmeat or occasional companion) in a vast wasteland.

Two words

Mario Karts, best N64 game, ever.

Almost. I think we are forgetting Ocarina of Time.

Fallout 3, most people probably don’t know, was proceded by the truly excellent Fallout 1 and 2. It certainly isn’t an MMO, but playing online Al-la Baldur’s Gate style with about four friends would be excellent.

I will now state four games

The two best games you know:
Ocarina of Time
Final Fantasy VI(with an extra I, if you prefer, it’s tough to decide)

The two best games you’ve never heard of:
NiGHTS into Dreams
Disgaea: Hour of Darkness
