I freaked my friends out with a magic trick...

Did I just studer in a post. Thats bad.

Oh damn I didnt know they had a trick like this allready, I still like my version better, because they can see that the cigar is real.

i didn’t know you did a levitation trick fear, i’d love to see you do that sometime  I’ve seen it on tv once and was like
i still don’t get how it can appear you lift off the ground entirily since one foot is still on the ground?

you hold the shoe with your hill at a angale, you cant see the foot. Im practacing it now. I love magic tricks, I know the blister trick sounds stupid the way its done, but I was trying to think outside of the box, whats the best way to make it apear that you burn your hand with a real cigar? Do it for real. Trust me if you have the nerve, and the beer to do this trick its worth the blister, and it want hurt the next day, and I use a purple grape for the blister, and it looks so real. I dont think I ll show this trick to women, and children, It might keep them up at night. Thats how shocking the trick apears. Im wanting to make a trick where I put my face into a bowl of water for about 4 minutes, I havnt figured it out yet, have any ideas how I could pull the illusion off, or what about walking through someone? I think if I thought about it long enough I could do some cool magic tricks.

ah pretty much what you did with the cigar…
you can even take somebodys cigar or ciggarrette
so they know its not loaded or a fake.
there are a lot of rubs, waxes or powders (hell, soap even)
you can rub into or coat the “burn” site with so you wont actually burn yourself… that way you can do this one everyday, without scars or nasty blisters ;o)

as for the blister itself… you can either do a grape swapout, or have a coat of blistering synthetic, almost a plastic of sorts, on the burn site

mmm i recomend you look into the book “skills of the vagabond” by prof. leung ting

thanks Ill deffintley look into getting some protective coating over my hand, the next time I do it.

Where could I find the protective coating?

everyone uses something different,
you have to be careful, certain substances
will melt into your skin…
a variety of glues work, ever applied a thin coating
of glue on your hand and let it dry when you were a
kid? try different soaps and waxes. check out a magic supply store either online or see if there happens to be one arround you.

a fun one i enjoy is flaming fingers…
one washes there hands, to prove there is nothin on them - heh
and in doing so, a finger or hand is coated in ethyl alchohol and then is ignited by a candle… you can get tricky and have a wire up your sleeve with a charge to spark-start it, or hide a lighter if you can get away with it, and “snap” your flame on.
it will not hurt.
since it is the alchohol burning, and not your skin - as long as the flame is extinguised in a fairly quick ammount of time… its a fun one to play around with. i love fire tricks… lots of them you can do with just a cigarette and bic lighter ;o)
