Lucid Nightmares

Last week I was having a bad dream/nightmare.

I was in a room with our (family) pet. A fully grown Siberian Tiger. In the next room was my wife and son. Suddenly, the tiger decided to attack me. At first I grappled with the tiger with it’s snapping jaws (really massive teeth and very red gums!!). I thought at the time (in the dream) ‘This was bound to happen. I mean - who’d have a tiger as a family pet and not expect it to turn on them some day?’. I then turned my attention to my wife and shouted to her to shut the door (so that they did not get attacked by the tiger when it was finished with me). I did feel pretty scared at this point - contemplating ‘What a way to go - eaten by a tiger’. Then because my wife didn’t close the door I sort of assumed that this must be a bad dream and almost immediately this happened, the tiger stopped attacking me and I ended up patting it’s head.

Next time I’ll ask it for a ride round the neghbourhood.

Had a ND last night where a drive by happened right next to me, except between biker gangs. Try it!

Needless to say, my biggest fear is death.

Don’t tell me i’m a pussy or anything, because I will absolutley break down and cry when i start to get into deep though about it. Turning into nothingness… not knowing that you can’t know anything. Not even existing. It scares the fuck out of me.

TBH, I’d rather go to hell then actually die.

I wonder if I could conquor this?

Hi I thought as this is about lucid nightmares I would tell you one I had. I had when I was 15 I can remember it really well even though it was 7yrs ago. Also this one of those rare occasions that I actually thought the dream was real but you’ll soon realise why.

I awoke in this dark room I was lying on the floor, the floor seemed like a metal floor. I got up and there was a large metal cyclindrical object that seemed like a large pipe lying on its side and another standing diaganol against the wall. I thought that all I wanted to do was get out of this room or at least find the light switch, I walked over to what seemed like a wall in front of me but I couldn’t see where I was going, it was so dark. I found this wall and it had spikes coming out of it. I eventually went further to the left and found the light switch.

To my suprise I was in my room, but with my eyes open and stood up out of my bed and near my door, whilst I was awake I could still see the room in my dream there at the same time as I saw my room. I tried to get this image of the room out of my head so I opened the curtains to let more light in.

My room at the time had lightproof curtains which meant even if it was bright sunlight outside I could be in pitch dark in my room. The spikes that I felt in my dream were a piece of art I had made which was meant to look like skin had been ripped on the spikes that was on my wall.
I just thought now that some people say that to test whether it is a lucid dream is to flick the lightswitch but when I did the light turned on and I was awake, I thought thats pretty funny like the opposite of RC. I think.
