Hey everyone, I couldn’t help but be part of this special LD. I’m still living in the outback, so I might not be online for days at a time. (I loose track of what week in in out here)

I do have an online DJ, but I doubt I’ll use it, at least not before I find enough scrap to build myself a desktop computer.

My color will be blue.

My usual induction technique would be natural dild, but I’m currently working with ssild, so I’ll put that as my preferred method.

My personal goal emoji will be : 🇦🇺 , just because I couldn’t decide.
My personal goal has been chosen in an attempt to combat a problem I’ve been dealing with for nearly 5 years: my reflection. Ever since the incident, I’ve always had trouble with seeing my reflection, It freaks me out, but I don’t know why. Maybe meeting myself in a LD could help me get over this problem.

Well, I need sleep, so I’m going to leave it at that. If I’ve missed anything just yell at me. I’m looking forward to a great LC.

Sorry for lack of answers, I have been traveling and it was hard to answer.
But be sure I checked all your posts every day.

I tried to answer several times, I guess I can do it now…

We will post the scores for the art once task 1 is posted.

I can declare a few points (pun not intended):

[spoiler]It is going to be divided into subtasks for each kind of art.
It includes fiction (excludes Dream-DJ transcription), poetry, artwork, sculpture, music and a few others.
The art must be posted on forum before claiming.
Art is accumulative, but one can only claim each type per dream.
There aren’t variable bonuses and they aren’t so valuable compared to most subtasks.

The art must be based on a dream which happened during the LC.
The score goes to the dreamer who had the dream inspiring the art.
The artist must confirm which dream it was based on while claiming.
It is recommended to create art based on your own dreams, however…
If you pay attention to it, it means that the artist can be someone else than the dreamer. It was added to encourage collaboration and DJ reading.[/spoiler]

My wish is to reach at least 21 signups. Yes, I know it sounds like a lot!
But we only need 6 more signups!
So please rush in!
Why is that? 21 would be perfect to balance with the amount of colors and challenge length.
It is also the age of LD4all.

In case of no delays, our plan is to start after NDC is over!
It has been a great NDC, and now we can have a great LC as well.
So please invite people from NDC if you can!

Hi Koharo, I had this problem with Photobucket as well.
You can still use other services, like imgur, deviantart and twitter for third party linking.

I am fixing the participant numbers.

I’m new to this. (First ld challenge for me) The object appears to be an ‘optional?’ extra and we can gain a few points when it appears in a dream.

It hasn’t actually started yet, but

  1. If unsure of anything ask Tggt or Mew, if not on forum, they are usually in chat.
  2. Once started, post in this topic when you do a task or have a ld
  3. Linking to DJ post is great but apparently optional according to the earlier info post.

That’s another question - when does it start? I’ve actually asked tggtt but he’s kind of unresponsive and I’m a little busy myself. It would be nice if everything was in the same topic.

Tggtt said he wants to start when we get to 21 participants. So that’s when he would post the first task. And then after seven days, he would post the second task, and so on.

Nope you are not alone! I am very confused. We are supposed to pick an item from that list? What do the colours mean? Is it supposed to match the colour we chose earlier? …and we have this item to look for in a dream but we aren’t supposed to do anything because it hasn’t started??? I really don’t understand all this and I think I will just skip all this until we actually get started and hopefully I can work out what is going on. :sad:

The idea is that for now, you just pick one of the objects, and later once the tasks start, you can see the object or whatever and you get points. You also get points if someone else dreams of the object that you selected.

As for choosing your own color category, at this point it doesn’t really matter, it’s more of a luck thing - we don’t actually know what happens if you choose your own color or a different one… it’s a mystery/surprise thing I guess that will be revealed later on.

Also, it’s worth noting that this part is optional… Though if you do see the object in a dream, it’s a nice way to get a quick six points.

Hello Avalinah, lemme try to answer now. I am busy with the LC60 itself…

The LC works similar to other challenges in this manner.
Once the first task is posted, you would need to post dreams here just stating their length, lucid or not lucid, and which subtasks you have managed to achieve in them.

Since moogle was talking about Siiw’s subtask:

Now that Siiw has unlocked it, after the LC starts, if any steam locomotive appears in a dream of yours (lucid or not), you can post here and earn 5 points!

The starting date was yesterday. I am delaying a bit hoping to reach 21 participants. I also awaited for the other challenge to end.

I am talking to Mew to reach a deadline in case we do not reach 21 participants to avoid keeping you waiting. It should be just a day longer or so.

To members who haven’t joined: Remember that it is also allowed to join late.

If you want to pick a giveaway card, just pick one from the list that hasn’t been taken.
It is completely optional.
The complex part is optional.
But, this game is also competitive. Therefore, we want to give points to people who are good in strategy as well, not only good dreamers. This should balance things and make it fun.

The colors were created to balance the “desire” for a specific subtask. Collecting colors will give you “more stuff” later.

Normally not. These kind of subtasks are too low in score to be worth to divide the owner share!

It is not allowed to share or change giveaways while the LC is running!

Since we haven’t started Task 1 it’s technically possible to change the owner.
You might try to convince the current owner to change before Task 1.

I recommend choosing another one.

In case you are lost about the unlockable/giveaway subtasks:
Once someone has unlocked or choosen the subtask, anyone will be allowed to claim points for dreaming about their topic.

But the owner will get a share from each success, which is just 1 point.
