I thought I would tidy up the list so everyone is included.
Summer is around the corner, and I am ready to bounce back stronger than ever.
Let’s do this!
- NDC 11 -
Task 1 - Explorer of the Cosmos
The Sea of Space by Alexander Rommel
In previous NDCs that I hosted, I had trouble coming up with things to say in the task posts. So this time I wrote several fictional stories that fit the task, but deleted them all. I think your dreams will be a far better story than any fiction I write.
So the theme this week is space. I know it’s a common task, but it’s common for a reason. Space is vast, diverse and perfect for adventure and exploration.
—
You get task points if:
- The dream takes place on an alien planet. New planets are some of the coolest environments to explore in dreams. Lots of alien planets in games and movies, if you need inspiration. You could also imagine your own and try to dream of that.
- Dream doesn’t take place on any planet. Have a dream in space, fly inside a nebula, walk on a star or ride a comet instead.
- You are in a spaceship. They come in all shapes and sizes.
Just to be clear, this is still only one task. In a single dream, doing any of the things listed will be the same as doing all of them. Be bold, dream big and have fun!
I will keep the scores here, and post the totals with each task post. I’ll try to update the scores as often as I can.
18 June. Vague ‘supernatural’ (not the series) dream. No real recall so 0 points.
Monday June 20 Tattoo (fragment)
Wednesday June 22 - Return to The Shop (fragment)
That was a cool lucid dream En! It almost turned into a nightmare, clever thinking summoning that healing dragon. First points on the board too, congrats!
Since the start of the challenge, I can report:
2 fragments.
Late report from last night, aka day #1 of the NDC 11.
One Lucid Dream, with a reality check.
No tasks/ND’s or fragments.
Dream Journal
@Jer: Congrats on the lucid dream!
@Siiw: Congrats! First task points go to you and I’m glad that our yelling on irc helped with your incubation
I’ve been updating scores. Let me know if I miss something.
Been having really erratic sleep since the challenge began, of course…
(Same post/link for 18th and 19th)
18/6/2016 - 1 frag, 1 nd
19/6/2016 - 2nd, 1 frag, 1 ld
Bed-time comic reading had loads of space battles, alien planets, space ships… nothing that made it into my dreams though.
20/6/2016 - Fragments and 3 lds, with reality check(s). I’ve never been sure about the rules on chaining, but the 2nd lucid was my version of a DEILD… following several minutes of no-movement awareness meditation and breath control.
Congrats on the lucid dreams. In this challenge chaining is not about chaining lucid dreams with deild, but returning to the same or very similar dream.
Three dreams from last night/this morning, no tasks were done. I’m not sure if the connection between the last two counts as chaining, since I was replaying the previous dream as a VR scene.
