Back in my day we had to walk to school in a foot of snow in minus 50 degree weather uphill, both ways.
Not quite but close. I find its usually cold or snowy or neither. Couple weeks ago we were hitting -50 celcius with the wind chill. Couple times a year we usually get a foot of snow over night. Snow on the ground from September to May.
On a side note, anyone else been tobogganing lately? I went last weekend. Found out why grown men shouldn’t use crazy carpets.(think of a fragile package sliding down an icy, bumpy slope with all your weight on it)

this is more like suburb of town with ~50000 population… and about 5km to center of this town… but here’s lot’s of forest surrounding everything
