The 5 Senses

ive also seen the earth from above…i flew to the moon a couple times,

I once also saw the earth in the sky, like it was another planet, , i thought to myself that I must have just died, and Im in heaven looking at earth…
until I realised I was dreaming and it turned into an LD:)

Sorry to disappoint you, ZionI, but it wasn’t such intense that I would have expected. I was in a rather low lucidity level, and it was blurry.

“What did the earth look like from above ?” Hmmm… round ? :peek:

I hope I will have a similar experience with a better lucidity level. But as I told you, I don’t always remember to increase the lucidity, or even to prolonge my dreams… :shy:

Stranger, I would have thought that I died also. What a rush! Did it seem like an OBE? Basilus, too bad the lucidity wasn’t higher. Something to think about for next time, eh? Is it true that if you tell yourself “increase lucidity” or “increase clarity” in a LD, that in fact it will? :eh: Also, how do you prolong your LD? Can you prolong NDs.

Sorry for the double reply

Hi ZionI

yeh it did kind of seem like an OBE although im not sure it was… dont know for sure really.

it was a big rush though yeh… i started to cry in that dream coz i really tought i was dead (physically), until i realised i was dreaming

I have never tried to say “Increase Lucidity!” in my LD’s, but from what I heard, it really works!

I hope I’ll remember your advice !

It works for a lot of people. Too bad I never tried.

I try to stare at my hands from times to times in LD. Staring at something makes the dream more solid.

Without being lucid ? It seems to be hard… But I know it’s possible to go back in a dream again when you wake from it.

I notice colours and imagery a lot but I think touch is my strongest sense especially when I’m trying to put my hands through walls/mirrors :mirror: I’ve only tasted once and never smell anything, have to try next time. I dont remember many sounds either which is odd because music and sound is a big interest for me.

I wonder how does someone discover new senses?

Thanls Basilus for addressing ALL of my questions

I notice that sight is by far the most intense sense for me. And in Waking life my eye sight is perfect ( 20/30, or is it 30/20 ). so maybe there is a direct correlation for everybody.

For me,
I have been able to Smell, I smelled burning rubber in my first LD. When I had my most LD evar I was able to smell turkey I believe. It does not feel right though. I cannot really feel the smell in my nose. I just know its there and what its like.

Taste definatly! in my ND’s I have drank glasses of water that tasted unreal. in a LD I had tasted a wounderful dinner. the tastes for me were so extreme that i just cant explain it. My taste senses were tingling it was sooo good

My least powerful sense would be sight. When I am able to see in a LD I can see vividly, I am so shocked most of the time by how vivid everything is that usually I wake up or lose consciousness and drift off. (I count these as low lucidity usually) heh I once ran through a whole night of ND’s without sight, so bad dream vision happens naturally for me I guess.

My other senses are usually the same as what I have in waking life.

What techniques are you using White Wolf?

I had some moments of lucidity last night. You’ll find the details in my DJ. What I tried for the first time was WILD and I couldn’t believe it worked.

I wanted to walk but I was blocked. When I reached out in front of me I felt glass. It felt so funny because I could feel my fingers touching the glass but it feeling was as if I was touching something not real.

What I mean is if you were to grasp someone else’s hand, intertwining your fingers. Each of you holds the same finger up so that they rest up against each other. Then with your free hand touch both fingers simultaneously and stroke or rub. That’s what it felt like.
