right now i’m about halfway through Tolkien’s The Silmarillion. It’s not really difficult to read, although it reads kind of like the bible. very concentrated and reads slowish. i only know of three other people who have ever finished it: my dad, a chick from school, and my english teacher .
it’s not a very evocative book. doesn’t really get any emotion going in the reader. but it’s still interesting to read.
The Lucifer Effect (Philip Zimbardo). The book is a fleshed-out version of a psychology experiment on how quickly and easily normal people can turn sadistic. It is … interesting.
In Nightmares and Dreamscapes, I just finished Dolan’s Cadillac. Now I’m onto The End of the Whole Mess. Neither are horror. One is a thriller, and the other is sci-fi.
Dolan’s Cadillac is going to be a movie coming out next month! Filmed in Canada too
i recently finished reading the inheritance series (eragon, eldest, brisingr) and now i am reading a book my friend lent me called The Sorwed of Shanara, all 4 are fantasy/adventure
I lent danielns13 the book by the way and im reading a book called Straken from the High Druid of Shannara series. I reccomend the series and the auther (Terry Brooks) to anyone who enjoys fantasie storys
just finished The Silmarillion. It was pretty good if you’re like me and you like that sort of reading.
I’m starting Night by Elie Wiesel, we have to read it for English class.
Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier, it’s book one in the Sevenwaters trilogy. I am forever in love with these books, I reread them all the time. I definitely recommend them if you like Fantasy books.
One of my favorite movies of all time in novel format. It’s…wow…But I’m not sure if it’s everyone’s cup of tea. I’ll probably start reading “The Dead Zone” by Stephen King next.
Neither did I, but when I went to Barnes & Noble, they had it on the same shelf as Stephen King, so I bought that instead of one of his books. Basically, it has everything that happened in the movie, plus more. More characters introduced, more plotlines (With flashbacks), and a ton more. It also has tons of homoerotica in it, just to warn you. Normally, it doesn’t really bother me, but…wow…Lindqvist isn’t afraid to hold back in this book. The book is still a masterpiece though.
