I ask them questions relating to the situation (I’m usually quite logical in dreams). If there’s a problem, I ask them for advice, unless I’m shy or I don’t trust them. It’s the same as I would do in reality.
well, sadly, i haven’t had a lucid dream yet, but here’s an idea-
-Magnify your voice (however you want), or just yell, and say “whoever spontaneously combusts first get a nickel!!” and see what they do… they could glare at you and give you dirty looks, appear as if constipated in a futile attempts to gain a nickel, or they could erupt in flames or candy, or whatever
my dc’s lie to me and tell me i’m not dreaming
ill usually tell them why arnt u telling me its a dream!?!?!?!
then they say its funner if you find out on your own…
and then i bust em into flames >:)
I should talk more with my DC’s… I usualy just say “I’m dreaming!!” and they say “Really!?” in a sarcastic or truely curious way, lol…
My DCs have varying responces.
If they are a person I know in real life, they will have no idea they are a DC. In addition, my lucid powers will shut off by talking to them, and I will not be able to use my powers to show them.
If they are a person I do not know, then they do one of two things:
- Nothing, as in they don’t do anything different from a “normal” dream dream character.
- They tell me I’m lucid. Very rare though.
In my last two dreams I’ve asked: “Did you know that I’m dreaming?”
In the first one:
DC: Really? (not very interested)
Me: Yup. So I’m going to fly away now.
DC: Cool.
Tonight the DC didn’t care. She just said: “Ok”
Wow, interesting answer. Must have been an extraordinary DC. you should follow up with them.
My DC tend to be people from RL and think they are actually that person…so its never too fun.
meby not, but what if you didnt know much about that person? you could ask them about themselves. of course, you may not want to trust what they say, because it’s probably what you think they would say, or what you want them to say. it could also help give you the confidence to try and talk to them. (such as some in which you have an interest).

Yes!
That is a good idea. I could still have some fun with that I guess. They just tend to blow me off when I tell them I am dreaming or ask them important questions though.
I have had some good experiences talking to my grandmother and that is all. I suppose asking the DC about their RL counterparts would be interesting though. Good idea. Thanks.

glad i could help but im guessing the key is to not tell them your dreaming, so they don’t think your insane grin
I once asked a DC : "How do you feel about being just in my head ?
Answer"Its an OK place to be altough im not sure if you aren’t liening about me being just fictional … "

The first thing I ALWAYS ask a Dream Character when I am Lucid is:
Do you know the winning numbers for the next Lotto 6/49 draw?
Usually I get a blank look from them, some laugh. The last time I asked a dream character she said to me directly that she did not know the answer, but said her “creator” did.
I am still hoping to somehow find some winning lottery numbers somewhere in the dream world.
Dream characters can be so stupid sometimes! like once i told my DC to tell me that i am dreaming the next time i see it in my dream and he replied back to me saying APPLES ARE GOOD!!! I woke up and i was laughing so hard!!
meby it’s a sign… i may be allergic to apples, but i think i may start to respec them more…
Rare: “Which do you prefer. The normal world, or the dream world.”
DC: “Well the dreamworld is nice and all, but on the otherside, (where you exist), you get to be free”.

Maybe theyre trying to say that our dreams are the real world???
When he says “the dreamworld is nice and all” he might be talking about our waking life… so our dreams are their reality and our reality is their dreams??? ahaha idk
Me: So, who is your spiritual God?
DC1: Jodas.
Me: Jodas? (I thought: “Not Judas?” but didn’t say it)
DC1: Yup, Jodas.
-Antother DC comes in-
DC2: Hey, what are you two talking about?
Me: Who is your spiritual God?
DC2: mumble
Me: What?
DC2: Mumble
Me: I didn’t hear it, what?
DC2: MUMBLE!
Me: Aha, okey.
That mubling was a weird name, like Sacramento Antoni, or something. Never heard it before.
Yea, I get the mumbling alot too. I usualy ask If Im on the right track in my life, or something to that effect. Its hard for me to remmber dialog. The coolest think a DC ever told me while lucid was…“The vocabulary in my mouth are just pictures of words”. I dont know what the hell it means, but I live by that quote. LOL
i guess it would be because words just represent feelings/ideas/things/whatever, the words themselves don’t really carry the meaning
That is definitely a cool thing to think about. The dreaming mind’s currency is pictures, and “words” are a little more difficult for it to handle.
