3rd person dreams.

You see, today I had the most vivid NLD of my life, but it was quite strange like any other dream out there, however, it was in 3rd person, and from this dream I noticed most of my dreams were in third person, I just didn’t notice it at all! There is my first dream pattern! YAY! But…

You can check my dream here.

It’s the last one in the list… Well, what I really want to know here is, how can I transform this pattern in some WILD mantra, and, why are my dreams like this!? How can I miss such huge dreamsigns?

Any opinions on this?

Uh, please help me?

This is interesting. I sometimes shift between 3rd and 1st person. But, most the time when I wake up, I can’t recall whether it was 1st or 3rd. Do you happen to play a lot of 3rd person video games? I’ve always thought my 3rd person dreams could be because of that.

As far as your WILD mantra, I assume you are talking about something to chant to yourself as you fall asleep. To me this sounds more like a MILD, which I suppose is something that is wake-initiated, but when people talk about WILD they tend to mean staying awake as they fall asleep, through hypnogogia. If you are talking about that, I would say that for most people WILDs take a lot of practice and is pretty hard for beginners.

Anyway, as far as the mantra goes, I would probably just tell yourself over and over again that you will notice if your dream is in 3rd person. Most importantly, you must BELIEVE this. As you said, it should be obvious because it is. So, just telling yourself that you will notice it will work. This is a pretty typical MILD thing to do. To sum it up:

  1. In bed think, “The next place will be a dream.”
  2. “I will notice if the dream is in 3rd person.”
  3. “I will become lucid.”
Optional. Imagine a dream you had in 3rd person and imagine how you would become lucid in that dream. (Some people like to do this in MILD)
    Go back to step 1.
  4. Fall asleep.
  5. Enjoy a LD!

I hope this helps. Good Luck and Sweet Dreams!
