a dream about insomnia :O

I have often lots of problems getting to sleep but insomnia usually has only effected my waking life… :bored:

A couple of nights ago i dreamed i was lying on my bed, trying to get to sleep but not being able to and i felt extreamly tired like in real life from a lack of sleep, very frustrated.
I checked the clock in the dream and it was around 7 AM on it, im going krazy thinking about how i missed such an obvious dream sign lol, if only i had done some reality checks, checked again and again to see if it was staying at the same time maybe could have been lucid lol

Same thing happened to me once. I went to sleep, and lay there for a long time without falling asleep. After some time, I became thirsty and reached for my glass of water. Suddenly my neck became numb and I couldn’t move. I panicked first, then I had a look at the clock. And sure enough, I was dreaming.

i hate that, sometimes you think you’ve never actually fallen asleep, that’s how realistic those dreams are…

a lot of people that say they never dream, actually just dream about “not dreaming” i.e. being in bed not being aslepe, but they are actually just dreaming of insomnia.

Oh man i had another one last night lol, but this one is much different and in amongst a larger dream but here goes…

The dream - its sometime late at night, I am among former ACF (Army cadet force) members in some sort of military training camp I remember trying to get to sleep on my bed which is among the others devided by metal cupboards, the others are all lying on there beds sleeping or trying to get to sleep.
At these camps, espessially on the first night of arriving there I suffer from terrible insomnia, if the other cadets arent keeping you awake which was often the case then sometimes be awake for hours, which is really sucks cause they are gonna wake you about around 6 AM and there’s no arguing with them lol

But on the plus side its the longest dream i recalled in a long time.

Later in the dream its about me and other cadets walking down some sort of military housing scheme for officers and regular army dudes, waking to some lake, after that i dont know how but ended up on a boat out on the lake, i looked around, then saw the other’s leaving the area swimming away from the boat to the shore, i dident wanna stick around incase i get in trouble so i jumps in the water, which was freezing and felt so vivid and realistic, it felt really difficult to swim in espessially with jacket n all on but scared of drowning i struggle it to the shore.
I not sure what happened to the others i guess they where ahead of me and i lost them so i last i remember im just exploring the place, the clothes dident seem wet come to think of it, i guess cause i wasent thinking about it i just forgot they had been soaked lol

I can sympahtise with you madjack. I can only think of a few occasions when I have had real-life insomnia, yet it is something that creeps up in my dreams all too often. These dreams always seem to take place in an environment which is not my bedroom. I move from place to place in whatever room I am in trying to sleep, but not being able to get comfortable. I generally wake up feeling tired from these dreams
