A dream journal question...

The thing is that I have just started recording my dreams in the dream diary forum but is it better to keep a physical journal aswell? Especially on school days, I won’t be able to access the computer till after school hours- thus the problem being I will most likely have forgotten my dreams. But the thing is that none of my family are into lucid dreaming and I don’t want them stumbling across my DJ because they won’t let me hear the end of it!

Anyone got any suggestions on what I can do?
Thanks

Yeah I got one,

Ex:

Say you had a dream with a guy sticking his head out of a window in an airplane. Just put in words that would help you remember the dream so you can write it down after school.

So for the example above do it like this. Guy;head;window;airplane

Or something of that nature.

Good Idea, thanks

That is exactly what I do. Also, you could write down said words in a notepad or something, so even if you forget, there’s a reminder. And if someone finds the notepad, they won’t suspect anything.

You know what, when you wake up, speak out loud and tell yourself what the dream was about.
If you had a dream with a guy sticking his head out of a window in an airplane, simply say “A man was sticking his head out of a window in an airplane”, if it was really vivid then add “My dream was really vivid”.
Doing this will make sure you won’t forget your dream. It’s all very simple. When we forget dreams we forget the visual experience which is basicly all there is, but if you’d have spoken out loud what the dream was about you will still have the memory left of what you said.

I might try that too :content:

I works great  And I’m hoping for you to back this up later

what I do is, when I wake up, write my dreams, temporarely, on a note pade beside my bed. Then, when I have time during the day, I translated it (I speak french) in english and re write it in a .doc file, then, copy past to LD4ALL.

When its all done, I throw away these notepad pages, so no one will read it. My parents are not into dreaming activity either

Sometimes, actually rarely, I put the pages in my pocket to read part during the day at work, say, in the bathroom…

just go to the store and buy one of those 50 cent memo pads. i found those are the best way to keep on top of things like that. i have about 5 of them spread all around. i keep one in my car, on in my guitar case, one by my bed, one in the bathroom, and one by my computer for when i dont have time to type up a complete dream.

little off topic, but those are also great for song ideas, im a musician and i can write single words down, song ideas seem to be as fleeting as dreams lol

hope this helps

Thanks for the tips. Its not like my family would mind me attemptung LD exactly, but as I share a room with my brother there’s nowhere exactly PRIVATE to keeo my DJ so you know…
