So, my first question is:How long should HI last for, and how quickly does it progress into more complex shapes, etc?
After trying for a few nights using the WILD method, last night, I closed my eyes, relaxed my body, kept my mind awake and after about 15-or so minutes I started feeling gentle vibrations throughout my body. I focused on this and didn’t let it distract me, another few minutes passed and I started seeing various colours of greys and whites, I waited and watched, I kept nearing a point where it felt like I was about to fall asleep and the HI colours became more intense, but I fought it (thinking this would make me sleep) and the HI resumed back to its passive state. After this I just went to sleep normally.
My other question is related to SP (which I sometimes get): I never really seem to get much of HI while trying WILD during SP, sometimes none, should I just lay and wait for something to happen (I waited up to an hour once, and fell asleep ) or should I just sleep and try another night?

Back to WILD - in general,[/b] When you’re laying there, should you keep your eyes facing the same direction or move them? Or doesn’t this affect anything (I always find it hard to not watch the coloured dots as they go past etc.)
Finally, how long should each stage last, and do you have any general advice and or guidance for WILD-ing?

There is no rule as to how much it should last. It´s different for everyone, some people take like 30 min. others 5… until they enter the dream. Visualize your dream and see yourself being lucid in it… Let the HI do whatever it´s doing, don´t fight it.
about the SP question. Once again, while being in a SP, visualize your dream and just imagine yourself tranporting into the dream. That is what works for me… but I don´t know if it´s the same with everyone.
Don´t worry too much about your eyes facing a specific direction… as long as you have them closed of course… lol just go with the flow of the HI, and be comfortable. So yes, you can follow the dots, but if you feel you are forcing your eyes to do rapid movements than it´s best if you just relax and not move them too much. Remember that the whole concept of WILD is to be extremely relaxed, if you are not relaxing because you fel your eyes are moving too much or getting too stressed out about it than just forget about it and concentrate on something else… like on the dream scenario you want to be appear in.
again… the duration of each stage is different for everyone… it depends on how relaxed you are… and other factors. Don´t worry too much about this. WILD shouldn´t be seen as something too difficult, if you do, than it will probably be difficult to achieve it.
you shouldn’t be thinking about which way your eyes are facing. you should be focusing on the HI and what’s going on in your mind instead of your current physical circumstances/environement
