Alright, I was thinking the other day about how some people get new senses in their lucid dreams. A lot of people seem to get a feeling of being able to feel everything in a room or even the room itself as part of them. Would it be possible to train yourself to feel something similar in real life? It wouldn’t truly be a sixth sense, or psychic, or real or anything. It would only be a mind trick, but I think that by combining sight, hearing, and smell all into the sense of touch it would probably be pretty accurate. Sight is already fairly accurate, but sometimes we fail to see what is right in front of us, so what if the subconscious could pick up on little things we don’t notice and incorporate it into this ‘false’ sense, aren’t we much more likely to notice something that we feel rather than something we see out of the corner of our eyes? Am I just insane for having such a notion and seriously considering it?
Even though I know it wouldn’t be real, I seriously think that this is possible and practical and that lucid dreams would be the training ground for this. Part of me thinks I’m going crazy and the other part is asking “but what if I’m right?” With all the crazy things people do in their dreams it wouldn’t be TOO out of the ordinary, and we’d finally learn how to bring things back from our dreams. Tell me what you think…
