this is for us that are light sleepers, and are aware of our sleep pretty well
go to bed and get up before you dream ,
do you understand ? I will explain, but i hope you know what i mean
when you sleep and you say "that was nice " but you haven’t dreamed, you are in the non dreaming sleep for a few hours, and each time you come out of it you want to roll over
DREAMS happen AFTER we the people who sleep like i do , roll over, and i think, most all of us are wired that way ,
so the goal is to sleep for an hour or two or so , and when you are rolling over, ask yourself " am i about to dream ? " if your answer is “yes” then
get
and walk around the room , and get awake a bit, then go back to bed , and refuse to roll over,
i did this once on a couch and i immediately hit conscious sleep paralysis,
the first dreaming cycle does not seem to last long
SO the great experiment is to FIND that state of mind, by doing this
then sit on the edge of the bed, turn the eyes upward with the eyelids closed, and let your mind drift in meditation, by simply sitting there, feeling, being, breathing, not focusing on anything but upturned eyes
this should cause the dreaming to happen while wide awake, i have not tried it THAT way yet but it is such a glorious idea that i thought i would post it.
if somehow when you go to bed you zap to consciousness in the morning without waking up at all then you would need a timer set for 2 and a half hours or so , and sleep that long, then try this experiment.
its hard to sit and meditate if you are incredibly sleepy hence it is better to walk around the room first before trying the sitting but you will know, maybe it will work for you the other way and you just get up and sit after 2 hours of non dreaming sleeping,
also , we could experiment with sleeping with the eyes turned upwards , maybe sleep a while in normal sleep, then sometime in the morning turn the eyes upward while intending to dream.
