I am new to Lucid dreaming and i would extremely appreciate any help
So lets get started!
First off, i like to introduce my self.
I am 16 and had my first lucid dream some months ago, and now i want it again, i also tried to but i couldn’t just get one, i was very close to the dreams however many times, but i do a mistake, i wrote that mistake down here:
Everytime i have a special situation, for example my last dream i remember i was on a Meeting with a lot of famous people at my school, after i left my school i saw my sister which is away on an journey for school since 1 week, i wanted to hug her but soon realize: wait, she ain’t here, how can that be? I made a reality check and realized this was a lucid dream. I was so happy and just… laughed… But then something happend: everything turned more and more and more black and it was like i lost my eyes, nose, i couldn’t smell nor hear nor speak, only think and imagine… I was so sad, i even tryed to rub my hands together because i red somewhere that this is helpful when loosing a dream. Anyways this didnt bring much and i had like a headache but didnt realize it… After 10 seconds or so (while i only saw black) i realized an extreme Sound in my ear like iiiih it really hurted and i wanted to wake up, indeed, i did but i couldn’t remember much after that, i only remember again an random dream about a game…
What should i do next time better?
Or what should i avoid?
What does it mean?
Any help is deadly appreciated. I love you guys so much
That sounds more like an LD (RC triggered or RCILD, that is, started from RC, specifically real life memory check).
It doesn’t seem to be a Multi Dream, you got it unstable and then it crumbled. Then you had another dream or just mixed up your DR.
You just need to learn dream stabilization techniques, that is, staying in a dream may not be so easy, you need to use techniques to make it more stable. These include simple movements like rubbing hands, spinning your (dream) body, holding solid objects, shouting at your dream demanding stabilization, mentalization/meditation.
There are lots of references on it around here, perhaps the most basic around is reading the guide, specifically the page WHILE->Stay Lucid.
Hint: put your cursor over the acronyms for explanations.
This happened to me often: I loose the dream because I get too excited when I realize this is a dream
Too much emotion is no good for your LD.
So maybe your laughing is the ‘mistake’.
I now try practicing staying calm and stabilizing in a LD
Mhm… I think you guys are right
I will try to concentrate and not “Laugh out” of the dream
I still have another question online and ready for deployment.
some days ago i had a very unusual night, i’d like to talk about that.
It was like this
i started playin a game called FTL which is about space shuttles fighting each other (yes i know nothing original but its funny) But one night i couldnt sleep, i dont know why but the really unusual thing was i was like dream-thinking. Everytime i didnt really think about a special think i just thought about a random situation in that i am the captain of my ship and walk around, giving orders… soon i realize “oh my, i’m in a dream!” but it was so unrealistic, i couldn’t feel and i soon realized i was awake just closing my eyes, it’s like if you close your eyes right now and think about something, like this!
I wasnt really “dreaming” at all, i was just thinking so hardly, and that was really awkward, i couldn’t sleep and i only thought about this game, as soonest i thought “do not think about this game… This about… ehm… unicorns” as soonest i just lost a little bit of my awareness i was again in that stupid situation! I dont know if that happened the whole night or if i was 25% of the time sleeping, i can’t remember…
My night was like this:
10% sleeping, 80% "dream"thinking of that game and 10% trying to not think at it
It wasnt a really "dream"thinking, it was more like a upgraded thinking that is like a dream because you are having it not realizing at all that your having it…
That sounds pretty complicated, sorry guys
Maybee someone had that too, it happens to me 2-5 Times a month…
Greetings
Your post doesn’t contain any clear question. I guess you are asking on how to avoid getting distracted.
About that, according to my experience, it’s impossible to avoid getting distracted at all, but you can avoid it by reminding yourself. You could take this reminding habit to RC as well and take advantage from it by improving your LDing chances.
Another point to notice: You don’t need to try WILDing every time, so you could release that worry about how to fall asleep.
Yet Another point to notice: You can be more assertive about your thoughts to avoid thinking about undesired things. But it takes some experience.
