Abandonware and EEE Pcs

I was just considering this a few minutes ago. The affordable EEE Pc can easily emulate classic DOS titles in DOSBOX. It’s a match made in heaven. Portable Daggerfall, portable BLOOD, portable Doom 2. What more could you ask for?

The EEE Pc is a great companion laptop and the fact that it provides a cheap platform for homebrew, abandonware, and emulators opens many new opportunities. I’m curious to know if anyone has any firsthand experience with it.

If you’re just looking for a multi emulation handheld gaming device then i strongly recommend that you look at the openPandora project and their device.

It was designed from the start to be a “gaming” device and judging from its specs it seems to pack a good punch and can easily give the EEE a run for its money when it comes to emulation.
