Adrenaline keeps ruining it!

Every time I get close to lucidity, I get excited and get a small adrenaline surge which keeps it from happening. I try as hard as I can to not get excited, but it just happens automatically. It feels like when I’m trying to put in eyedrops, and can’t just let my eyelid relax.

I could probably do a WILD whenever I feel like it if I didn’t have this problem. The only time I’ve had success was the first time I did it a few days ago, and that only lasted a few seconds. Any suggestions?

This is quite normal in the beginning. When you gain more experience, your mind gets accustomed to the lucid state, thus decreasing the initial adrenalin rush upon becoming lucid. Your LDs will also become longer in time. So keep practicing, have patience and it will get better soon
