Almost WILD. Room for improvements?

Hey everyone. Recently I’ve been having alot of dreams and I thought I’d pick up on trying lucid dreaming. I try sometimes but not regulary. I got some issues I’d like to talk about.

Last night when I went to bed I almost instantly stated to see HI (attempting WILD). I also hear alot of sounds, people talking distantly, glasses toasting. This doesn’t happen too often so I thought I’d take the opportunity. I laid in a somewhat comfortable position on my back even if I prefer to sleep somewhat on my side. The reason I lie on my back is that I don’t feel as much texture as if I would on my side. Anyways, just a few minutes into it, I was starting to feel as if I was drifting or what to say. I’ve never gone lucid through a WILD so I don’t know what to expect really.

After awhile I felt just like if the “flat visions” now were all around me and I could “sync” into the visions. However, then suddenly my eye twitched really hard and it felt like I got a moderate jolt in my eyebrown. What is that? Had I just some kind of fluke or is it “normal”? It was actually really painful! Next thing I know I feel how my muscles stiffen somewhat and I wonder if I am getting SP. I can’t say I’ve had SP before, but sometimes when I try WILD it feels as if I can’t move, but I can always move if I just try to. However this time I thought I’d not let it distrub me and just go with the flow. It felt as if my arms became wider, fatter and my face frown. It didn’t snap to it, like built up slowly.

I tried to not be bothered and HI was immense all the time. Every time as I would try to “join” the dream, things faded away. I like to compare the feeling to what I felt that sand monster in Spider Man 3 must have felt when he tried to move the first time. Every attempt just faded away. It’s strange to say I was trying to enter the dream when I’ve never done it before, but the feeling was somewhat familiar. Strange. Anyway, my face started numbing off but I had like a few spots on my face that really itched! I was going nuts. I said to myself to let it be but eventually I just had to scratch my face and break the trance.

I guess I’m quite close for LDing from WILD. Does anyone have ideas on how to improve the dream entering stage? I have full blown HI w/ sound and some kind of feeling that it’s all around me. I tried “grabbing things”, and it worked somewhat. I felt as if I was dragged into it, but then the dream just faded. I tried voice commands like “Stay lucid! Relax now!”, and they also seemed to help but only for a few seconds. I don’t feel comfortable with shouting at me all the time because that would throw me off focus.

I read a couple of tips on the forums before going to bed and I really think it helped that never move or anything no matter what (but I have to train on that one). I will experiment with bananas but I think my real issue is not “finding the gate” but to enter it.

acctually these are normal. Ive have these kinds of dreams where im just laying down and suddenly when i dont reliese it im dreaming lucid without control.to control it YOU must relieze your dreaming and start creating stuff.to awaken in a dream is…when your eyes are open in a dream you must open them when they are already open.people have a hard time doing his but good luck

Hi

Which are normal? All of the above?
Well the thing is I ain’t sleep dreaming. I am awake-ish. I’m getting sleepier but before I actually go to sleep I start to see dream imagery. I am fully aware of that I am observing these images and my intent is to go lucid. - I don’t drift off dreaming and start to think about other things. So in a way, I realize I’m ‘dreaming’, or at least seeing things, hearing stuff. That is not the hard part.

About that opening your eyes when they are already open, how do you mean? Do you mean I should imagine I have several eyelids on top of each other? I mean, I see the dream stuff right there in front of me, and I can vagely spin around and observe my ever changing surroundings but I can’t blend in, somehow, or what to call it. It’s hard to describe.

Edit:
I think I can relate the feeling of not being able to snap into the dream. It’s like them dreams when you want to run super fast or something but somehow your legs just end up like walking in mud, or you keep running in one spot but never achieve speed.

Don’t listen to Dream’s nonesence about your eyelids  What you experienced with the eye twitching occurs when you’re eyelids slip open. As far as I can tell from your posts I’d recommend you to try WBTB + WILD.
