Am I making progress here?

Well, last night I dreamed a non-lucid flying dream after trying WBTB. I was being chased by a bunch of angry kids, so I jumped up and took off. I wasn’t totally lucid, but am I on the right track?

Yes, keep following your technique (seems to be working), you are very close to an actual LD.

Cool. I’ve had similar dreams before, where able to fly/jump incredibly high/float, but I’ve never actually been in control of them. Hopefully I’ll have a real LD soon.

In my last ld i tried to fly and without any effort i was flying at high speed but only for a second. I know it was lucid because NEVER in my dreams i fly away.

The only time I “flew” in a dream was when I was swimming in the air just a few feet above the sidewalk. I questioned this for a moment, then decided it was normal and continued on.

I tried to fly in my really long LD, but only managed to hover.

hehe… that’s the funny thing about my flying dreams too. I always manage to reassure myself “this is normal, carry on as usual…”

Anyway, swimming in the air is a good way to describe my “flying”: jumping, then flailing my legs to make myself fall slower. It’s bizarre that I can’t recognize that it’s a dream.

I forgot quite a lot of the stuff I do for dreaming as I have been really busy, but just recently I have been able to make things it into place again and start back on re going over all my LD stuff from the holidays. My last LD was about 2 weeks ago, and I stopped even remembering dreams for a bit, but over the last few days I have had to go through it all again. Flying is great!

Flying has never been a problem for me.
