am i making progress?

he all , i have had a few tiny experiences that lead me to believe i am getting closer to lucid dreaming, but i was wondering if people who have allready achieved ludidity would agree

my first was , iwas trying to do wild (when i went to bed, i have heard this is nearly immposible at this time) i did not know at the time though. anyway i lay there waiting for sleep paralysis, i had no felings like virations or anything else other than when i tried to swallow, mt tounge moved but my jaw was stuck ! that scared the crap out of me (lol) and i woke up.

second was, i had been listening to a binaural cd and i fell asleep then suddenly i heard the “is this a dream, am i dreaming voice”(on the cd) clear as day and it woke me up, so i turned round to go back to sleep, straight away i saw this landscape image and before i realised, i had told myself this is a dream, suddenly everything started to look crisp as if i was focusing in more than i can with my rl eyes, but as quick as i was aware of this i woke up, i was not exited or anything, but maybe i was too shallow to bring it to life

third was a normal dream (that my girlfreind tuned into a 6ft killer chimp(not too far from reality ) but i was following the story well, but just before i woke up i ended up in a public restroom stood at the sinks and i was stood next to cobb (DiCaprio`s character in inception)(cool i want him as a dream tutor) and he asked me if i remembered to do a reality check, and for some reason i thought to myself i cant do a reality check before i get lucid then i suddenly woke up

do you think i am making progress or am i just tricking myself
thanks for any help

The second one was an LD.

The thing is, you’re not going to gradually get more and more lucid, with the dreams lasting longer and longer. That idea of “progress” is wrong. You’re going to to have lucid dreams or you’re not.

There are going to be periods when you’re having them, and periods when they stop.

That’s pretty much the opposite of what I’ve heard. I don’t know though, I have only had around 8 short LD’s and 1 a bit longer. But I am definately making progress when it comes to the frequency of becoming lucid.
