Any Suggestions

So I have been actively trying WILD again which has given mixed results. Sometimes I will hit a road block.

Usually it happens after I wake up and then roll over and am ready to try to head over consciously. I can get to the point where I can tell that I my body has gone to sleep. I will either hear sounds that I know aren’t supposed to be there, like rain, or DC’s talking, but there doesn’t seem to be any dreamworld. Its still just the wash of random colors on a black background. Sometimes I will move my arms around and I can feel walls that I know aren’t there, but that’s about it. Eventually I will just give up focusing on it and let myself slip into a random dream experience hoping I will notice it’s a dream quickly and remember what I was trying to do before. This works most of the time, but I always feel I am pretty close the other way I’m just missing something to kickstart the dream.

Any suggestions?

:: edit :: is it just me or does everyone’s posts say “0”

I start feeling random walls and stuff too, and then usually I will begin walking around a room, and I just keep trying to stay within the experience until my dream eyes open. Maybe just relax more and go with it. I hardly ever do this on purpose though. It’s usually like, right when I wake up.

If you do WILD as soon as you go to sleep (No WBTB) It will take a long time, because it takes a lot of time to reach REM sleep.

Have you tried with WBTB?

WBTB is really good actually,
and why do are posts say 0 anyway? I just noticed that after you said it.

thanks guys

yah I don’t try WILD right when going to bed, I usually let myself fall alseep without putting to much thought into it and then after waking up a couple of times I will try WILD.

Same thing was happening last night but it turned out better for a change. Ended up just being patient once I got to that point and things eventually came too. One thing that helped was getting used to opening my eyes, and not getting upset when I felt myself drifting away from lucid; knowing I could be back pretty quickly. I ended up returning to the same setting a number of times…

Have you tried peeling your eyes open (if you don’t want to open your REAL eyes)? Or is it still dark?

That’s the only thing I can offer.
