Any thoughts on a dream I had?

I recently had a fairly interesting dream, and I want to see if some other people could give me some insight into it. I did’t see any interpretation areas, so I put it here.

The earliest I remember in this dream, my grandma had some glass contraption with a jar inside containing a thermomiter suspended by a pipe in her bathroom. I had undone it, and was trying to fix it. I finally screwed it back onto the fixture the right way, and looking at it I thought there might be spiders on it, but they were only screws. skip Now I am in my old bedroom, sitting on my bed, and there were two guys that were slightly older than me at my computer desk, one sitting down, who I didn’t clearly see, and one standing up, who was slightly taller than I am, wearing a blue and red button down shirt with jeans, and is skinny with black hair. The one standing up was explaining something to us, I thought it was about HIV when I woke up, but it had something to do with a spider bite on the neck. I remember calling him over (at this point I know he’s my older brother) and I don’t clearly remember what happened next, but at the end of the dream, he was laying on the bed (for a shirt he only had a white undershirt on now) and I was laying with my head on his chest as we fell asleep.

As a note:
1)I don’t have an older brother here that I know of.
2)At the end of the dream, I felt so close to my brother that I could have kissed him.

nothing came to me … but I used the dream moods dictionary

and for spiders it said…
To see a spider in your dream, indicates that you are feeling like an outsider in some situation. Or that you may want to keep your distance and stay away from an alluring and tempting situation. The spider is also symbolic of feminine power. Alternatively, a spider may refer to a powerful force protecting you against your self-destructive behavior. If you kill a spider, it symbolizes misfortune and general bad luck.

To see a spider spinning a web in your dream, signifies that you will be rewarded for your hard work. You will soon find yourself promoted in your job or recognized for your achievement in a difficult task. Spiders are a symbol of creativity due to the intricate webs they spin. On a negative note, spiders may indicate a feeling of being entangled or trapped in a sticky or clingy relationship. It represents some ensnaring and controlling force. You may feel that someone or some situation is sucking the life right out of you.

To see a spider climbing up a wall in your dream, denotes that your desires will be soon be realized.

To dream that you are bitten by a spider, represents a conflict with your mother or some dominant female figure in your life. The dream may be a metaphor for a devouring mother or the feminine power to possess and entrap. Perhaps you are feeling trapped by some relationship.
that is interesting since it points to the feminine and in the dream you also produced a brother so the dream was balanced.

I won’t state the obvious you had already stated, Wolvendeer; But that the spiders represent fear from it, that you don’t want it to come at you.

At the same time, you feel that you can overcome it: That you can undo it, not just forgetting it - but eliminating it from you.

At the same time, there is the thermometer thing: I think it represents something complex that belongs to some one of your family: either physical, or the more logical mental.

You could have hurt someone and try to fix it, succeeding in it (But having the thing mentioned above chase you). You could have tried to help a family member - maybe you have neglected your connection with them.

It might be a friend, and not a family member, of course. See what appeals to you - Eventually, only you can interpret your dreams.

EIDT: Please, forgive me, but there is much I hadn’t written about:

First, I think the object represents high technical ability of yours - either simple, as in building wooden things, or as complex as creating robots.
*this ability might be something you wish for, and not something you currently have. I think it is something you don’t fully have right now.

And second, your “brother” might indicate a figure of someone you can lean on: You got parents, but you don’t let yourself lean on them. You got yourself, but you might be not enough - you want more. That explains the spiders as a challenge in your life: You can pass it yourself (Either nby turning them to screws or discovering they were screws) but from a certain point (Once one had bitten you) you begin feeling that someone else, IE and older brother is to help you: He tells you all about spider bites.

NOTE: Everything I had written above is false. Unless you want it to be true.

Thanks for the second opinions you two. I realize only the dreamer can interpret his dreams, however I feel that requires a certain bit of distance to analyze it, which I haven’t been able to put between me and the dream.
