Astral projection help?

Hai dere LD4ALL

So, I’ve been tying to astral project the last 2 days, but there are a few things I am confused with.

  1. Relaxing body parts. Everyone says I must relax to the point that they feel very heavy, but that never happens.

  2. I so far only used the rope technique, and even without meditation I can already feel some vibrations, but I don’t know what to do from there and usually lose my concentration.

  1. Just relax your body until you can’t get more relaxed. I also advise to stop monitoring yourself based on these stages. Keep watch, but not “for” anything, or else you’ve already lost concentration.

  2. Keep being relaxed in body and mind even though you feel vibrations. Your breathing and heartbeat already disturbs your state, or has potential to disturb you, doesn’t it? But you don’t stop breathing. You just take the breaths, and your pulse, and maybe even the compulsion to swallow your saliva, as part of your experience. The vibrations are best treated in the same way, when they come.

Hope this helps!

Hey, thanks there!

This night I tryed again both with the rope technique and my own technique (I create an energy ball that would take me somewhere, then I grab it with my astral hands and imagine my body being left behind and the AB leaving it). I was kinda amazed at how good my technique seemed to be, I got much stronger vibrations and they came quicker quicker. I also had a few hand spasms and felt myself moving up in the bed (I realized I was really vibrating after that, because I did change my position).

But I can’t get past this, and there is something else that bothers me, I have breath problems and it is much easier for me to just breath normally than deeply, because I tend to get out of air when breathing the way most people tell me to. I’m not sure if it changes something, but I just feel more relaxed when breathing normally.

Breathe normally, then. The advice that I had been given was to use a breathing technique called the fourfold breath, but it made me dizzy and give me an irregular heartbeat-- it was a well-respected tradition in meditation, but I threw it out. You should know what’s best for you, and not be led astray from it by anybody else’s advice.

If you can’t get past this, though-- give up. No, seriously. Because when you give up, you relax completely.

I had been trying for a long time before achieving this, but it didn’t feel like the result of “practice makes perfect”-- it felt more like I had accidentally stumbled into the right frame of mind, and that I could have gotten it within 20 minutes of my first meditation, if only I’d already known what to do.

After standing still for over 30 minutes or so, I began to feel my body get numb. Then more 20 minutes and I was having some crazy imagery, like half of a women’s face, random images, and then the other half of her face. Then my arms fall through the bed, but because of my reflex they were put together (>:O don’t do that meanie reflexes). At this point my body was very numb, but I still could feel it touching the bed and I still could move… why is that? Should’nt I be in SP mode?

Hypnogogic imagery doesn’t always happen at the same time as SP, especially if the stage is shallow enough that you get hypnic or myoclonic jerk reflexes as well.

I guess that I must have sleep paralysis when I go out of body, but I never notice because… I’m out of body. I think that I just got into OBE’s to solve my SP problems, but even after my OBE’s, I still get SP’s without being able to OBE from it, probably because I can (and only know how to) OBE without SP. Anyway, same advice as before not to think too much about the stages

Hello guys. Yeah I’ve posted before here several years ago, I’m like that.
Anyway I have come across astral projection lately and I’m really interested in knowing about that but all the info I’ve been getting has been scarce and fragmented. For instance, is it necessary to ignore your senses? Like laying completely still and the like?
I managed to get into a vibrational state on my first couple of tries and since then I’ve learned a whole lot more and managed to not even get there anymore.
Sorry to hijack the thread, it’s just that it’s relevant and it seemed better than starting a new one. Thanks for any replies.

Everyone has their own technique. Some ignore the senses and some focus on them. Here is a site that helped me some years ago: astralvoyage.com/projection/index.html

My first few times I would make it to the vibrations and focus on them more than my goal and lose what I had going all together, so just make sure you don’t put too much emphasis on the Vibrations.

Thanks for the link and the replies guys.
