Astral Projection Vs Lucid Dreaming

They say that if you know how to lucid dream then you are half way there, this is true. Astral Projection is when you learn how to project you conciousness from your physical body to your astral body. Ive only gotten as far as raising my astral arms and legs into the air but i cant seem to disconnect my whole body perhaps concentration and awareness is not deep enough, or maybe i need to try some different techniques. Everything you encounter in the astral realms is indeed real, your your astral body and physical body are connected by a silver cord and it is very strong. there are many ways to protect yourself during astral travel just in a really rare case you come across a demon  You can also easily astral project within a lucid dream. Has any body ever experienced Astral Projection?? if so, I would love to hear about it! :woo: Also, if you have never heard about it and find AP intresting and would like to try it. Feel free to tell me what you know and techniques you find effective.

I honestly don’t understand the difference between AP and LD. So AP is just a WILD but it’s… real? I doubt that it is real. I’m sorry but I’m not that spiritual.

I was fascinated with both lucid dreaming and astral projection when I found out about them. I have quick out of body experiences, usually I only partially separate from my physical body. The room is dull and It is a struggle just to move my astral body. Fear keeps me from getting any further, and it might take a while before I’m ready to astral project. Lucid dreaming is much more rewarding, at least for me, it’s fun and I have control.

Edit: During lucid dreams you are using your subconscious, during astral projection you are using your conscious mind, just as you are in the waking world.

Hey Dazzle

When I first heard about Astral experiences and OOBEs, I was amazed by the concept and everything etc etc etc… But as with most issues today, including lucid dreaming, people try to make it so rigid and complicated . In reality, it’s all very simple.

A dream is an ‘astral projection’. In reality, there’s no differentiation.

There’s only OOBEs or anything else you wanna call them.

An OOBE is an experience where you are not using your physical body in the experiential process. So a dream, an AP, or an ‘OOBE’ all conclude to this definition.

(Again, There’s no real ‘definition’ yet, I’m just making it MUCH more simple and LOGICAL then most people do)

Now, let me give you an example, the other day, I had a dream, and two friends of mine, a couple, started shouting at me about their relationship. I was mediating between them to form a conversation… Now, obviously (to me) , what happened was, we were all out of our bodies together, and they just, sine they both know me, started to channel their anger towards each other through me. They fell asleep after having this big fight…

Anyway, what I’m getting to here is, was this a dream ? An AP ? An OOBE ?

People will try to define everything like a physical structure but it just doesn’t work this way. You can’t give it a definite name because it’s not a definite experience.

Mark these words…

Reality is Virtual

It’s fairly simple, when you don’t have your physical body (physical receptors), your experience is determined directly by your mental activity .

Any OOBE is somewhere on this scale.

----------------------------------------

Dreams tend to exist towards the left side of the spectrum since you’re entering them from a subconscious state. When you leave your physical body, it tends to fluctuate towards the right side of the spectrum since you’re using dramatically less of your subconscious mind.

However, usually, dreams & Aps, are somewhere in between. In dreams, often people who are talking to you are real people, or you’re maybe visiting a real place.
In APs, often things aren’t ‘real’ and they’re just your creation. Which leads people to all sorts of crazy and confusing conclusions.

When you have perfect mental control, you can consciously move on that spectrum. It’s like giving the environment fuel or just observing in it.

You’ll have to just start experiencing it regularly and consciously to understand.

About which techniques to use, generally speaking, it’s a muscle that you have to build. Do some energy work, move energy through your body, practice relaxing your body, and clearing your mind.

Get some brainwave entrainment CDs that work in the Theta range and listen to them often.

When your energy is running smoothly, and you can easily relax your body, you will be able to consciously project easily. If you want to have objective experiences, master your mind as well.

when you get to this stage, it’s really just about lying down, relaxing and going wherever you please.

Emphasis on GOING wherever you please. People try to relax, then try to do all sorts of things, these are all preparations, you will have to just GO somewhere.

Hey Relv,

An Astral Projection is not a Dream, A Dream is an Astral Projection. But what defines a dream is actually called for the Subconcious to be in control, Now Astral Projection is simply the transfer of consciousness from the physical body to the astral body. Most Everything that you experience in the astral IS INDEED REAL. Our Physical world is actually a copy of the astral world. we do not belong to our physical bodies, we are beings, our physical bodies are just corpses to our souls to house them while in the physical. Every being on this earth has an astral body. This explains how in the astral you may come across beings that you have never seen in the physical. Even some extinctions.

I have been practicing both APs and LDs. An AP is similiar to a dream, but you are fully aware, and are experiencing something that’s just…different. Its like going to another dimension. In LDs, I know my mind is producing it, and I have full control. Thats what I see as the difference.

According to various esoteric, occult, and mystical teachings, living beings are constituted of a series of psycho-spiritual subtle bodies.

So, probably astral travel happens when one reaches the astral body, and dreaming happens when one reaches the dream body, as this world only happens when one is in the physical body

PLEASE READ! I WANT TO KNOW WHO ELSE HAS FELT THIS WAY…
heres what I have experienced since I was young teen…(Now 27 yrs old)
i would have these sleep/wake state episodes (SOME CALL THEM NITE TERRORS, I THINK ITS A SPIRITUAL OR ASTRAL TRAVEL THING) where it would begin with usually a bad dream, and/or REALLY loud noises in my head, and it would proceed to the sounds or (voices at times) getting louder and louder and then I would be half awake/ half asleep,I could see the room in real life so I knew I was sort of awake, but it was all blurry and sometimes my eye lids would be fluttering but i would also slip back into the scary dream state (highly unconfertable) and I would be in a stuggle between being extremely tired and my eyes feeling really heavy and wanting to sleep really bad, but at the same time, I would be pinned to the bed like my body could not move at all, and I would be terrified everytime I would give into the sleep mode cause of the dream state being so terrifing, and the sounds were still happening by the way during the struggle between awake/sleep mode. And heres the craziest part… I would litterally feel my body pinned down to the bed the whole time so it would be really hard to wake up when I wanted to out of fear, it was like somehting was forcing me to sleep, but I would also FEEL MY SPIRIT (OR SOME PART OF ME EITHER CONNECTED TO ME, OR LIKE A LAYER OF ME REMOVING ITS SELF) peeling off my body attempting to disconnect or just float and sway above as it was still connected, but I knew it was still part of me in a way and sort of floating above my self, but not quite disconnected all the way cause I was always too scared to let it go any further. It felt like my soul was still attached at my feet and legs but the upper portion was peeled off and kind of moving back and forth trying to separate from my physical body. The only thing that would wake me is when I would call out for GOD or JESUS to help, and then I would wake! The wakeing part was scary too cause my hearrt would be beating fast, and sometimes I would be kind of hallucinating as I fully woke. It was like I was in REM sleep, but in a dream, but trying to Astral travel at the same time… I dont know but has anyone else felt this way?
To this day these episodes are fewer and far between thank Goodness, but I have mastered them in a way where I know its starting and I know that God will pull me out of it right away when asking so! True stuff man!! Crazy…
