Astronaut of Salamanca

While sneaking around in the french forum, i stumbled upon one of Basilus’ posts about a supposed astronaut that was carved into the Salamanca cathedral in Spain.

Now, i don’t know too much about it’s origins but i thought it was pretty interesting.

Here’s a picture of what it looks like: strangeattractor.co.uk/furth … /01/994499 365_2873a78fc8_o.jpg

(paste the whole this into the thing)

Wow…any idea when this cathedral was built/when that was carved?

500 years old.
But i did some more research, and i think it was “doctored” in 1992.

oh well :meh:

Disappointing, but it makes sense. It looks way too much like our modern astronauts. I couldn’t imagine someone 500 years ago getting it THAT accurate.

Unless people from the past made similar suits to go to space
