It’s been some time since I noticed that once in a while, from sundays to mondays, I get terrible nights of sleep for no reason. In those nights I have trouble on falling asleep, keep waking up at night and having trouble to sleep again. My dreams are confusing, and even when I wake up my mind is scrambled, with a rush of information and imagination, along with parts of the dream I was having. Usually, after what seems like hours, I manage to get a little of continuous, decent sleep, but it’s not enough.
Anybody knows why this happens? And only specifically on sundays to mondays? Mom also noticed that this happens with her, sometimes on the same nights it happens with me.
What have you been doing on Sunday to mentally affect you? Can your dreams give you any relevent clues (for example if you always dream of dying etc) If you want post in last night’s experience in greater detail and ppl can see what it might mean.
What Is different about Sundays in terms of physical activity? if you havent done much, then you might not be tired enough to sleep and you could blame that. Alternatively, some people find too much excercise in the evening makes them unable to sleep easily.
Is there anything that happens on Mondays (such as work) that you are bothered/excited about that might be keeping you awake?
That’s the thing - there was only one thing that changed on a sunday or another, but that stopped happening, but the bad nights of sleep didn’t.
Thing is, my recall gets pretty crummy as well, so I only remember a few scenes, and even then, they are too confusing.
Basically, it’s like insomnia, but my brain seens to be at a “non-stop” mode, even when I managed to sleep, which causes said lack of recall and confusing dreams, making me wake up fast.
On saturdays and sundays I woke up at about the same time, except on saturdays I usually go to bed later. I don’t exercise on the weekend, just on ordinary week days.
I thought about the possibility too A few times, there was some stuff (tests, college stuff, driving school, familiar problems), but I found out that it also happens when there’s not even a hint of an out of the ordinary feeling/thought…
Help!
(but remember, it’s not EVERY sunday… Lately, it’s been once or twice in a month, sometimes it takes even more time. Before, for some reason, it happened more often.)
Ah, Sunday, end of the weekend. I’m inclined to think it’s stress over Monday. And by the end of Monday, it’s stress thinking about the rest of the week, because you know you’ll have to get up early the next day (oh, the horror! At least for me) and do work/school/whatever.
Stress isn’t really good for sleep, as we all know.
