Well I was reading some random LDing tutorials and stumbled upon some information about OOBE s. I skimmed through it and found that hearing buzzing or humming sounds is a sign for having an OOBE. It amazed because I hear a low humming sound every time I’m in bed. I hear it EVERY night, even when I’m not trying to do anything LD related. And I can’t get rid of that sound either (well, with my mind alone). So I was wondering that maybe that’s a good thing for having OOBEs?
I guess so! Many people try to induce an OBE and never even get to hear that (mostly because they’re tense or afraid) - so I guess you’re some steps ahead
And you also know this is perfectly normal, as it’s common to you. Many people are afraid of the noise in itself, because they are not used to it!
I have read the same thing. My opinion is that increased awareness “allows” the senses to tune into frequencies that otherwise go unnoticed or get obscured by the normal brain chatter that takes place in one’s head. OBE’s and WILDS require a subtle awareness as the consciousness transfers from awake to sleep. It’s like surfing. The noise you hear is like seeing a wave approaching that you want to catch. The next step is maintaining your balance as you attempt to ride it.
