So I have been trying to lucid dream for a couple months now and have had success recently. I use to use a dream journal but stopped awhile ago. Whenever I achieve lucidity I almost immediatley lose it. Has anybody had this problem?
I have. and many many others. Nothing to worry about, although it sure can get frustrating. Yelling “increase stability” or “vividness” seems to help many people. Doesn’t work for me though. Trying your best to stay as calm and focused as possible also helps. I alos suggest meditation as training your mind to be clear and relaxed really helps.
EDIT: oops, this is in case you wake up right away… if you lose lucidity and go back into a ND… well, I’m sure most of the above applies too I also have that problem sometimes, but I mainly wake up right away…
I seem to always wake up just a few seconds after becoming lucid, why does this keep happening?
I don’t even feel any overwhelming excitement or anything, I just go like “okay, now I’m lucid dreaming, but now I feel this drowsiness again, oh well” and then I shut my dream eyes and wake up.
Also, for some reason I often have problems opening my eyes completely during these LD’s, they are like, half shut the whole time.
Hello,
I think the fact that you wake up too early isn’t necessary related to excitment.
For example you can wake up just because you’re not focused enough or if you’re scared.
I personnaly do as Laberge wrote : I rub my hands i has worked so far.
Try to focus on yourself because in a dream everythink changes and if if changes too fast it can wake you up or make you forget that you’re in a dream. Focusing on yourself will help you because no matter where you are in your dream, you will always be there and not change. I heard hands are pretty reliable to stay lucid, it worked for me so give it a try next time.
