CD Alarm clock

I just got myself one of those alarm clocks which also play CD’s,. so I can set my alarm and wake up to a CD if I like. I plan to use this for lucid dreaming, by setting my alarm for 4:00 am or something, and playing some kind of LD subliminal track, like some of the ones members here have offered.
I was wondering, has anyone else done this, and found it successful?

I used this technique a few times with my Mp3 player.
It does work, but I had to experiment a little
with the volume.Too little and no induction, too much and
it woke me up.My dreams also found this technique easy to
blend into the scene, thus fooling me.I found it more effective to just fall asleep with the induction playing.I also tend to move around alot in my sleep which removes my head phones alot of times.

Trial and error.

Yeah those headphones can be a pain. I used LD CDs with headphones before, but now I can set this thing to play without me having to wake up
Well, I’ll start tying it on my next day off.

I tried it this morning…I slept right through, never even heard the CD in my dreams or anything

i think you have to time it right at the beginning of a new REM cycle or something. If you are in deep sleep when it plays i doubt you will hear it.
Interesting idea though

Volume is a key thing. Be careful when doing this though, I can only go to sleep now if i am listening to music (i actually can’t sleep without it no matter how tired i am) and you don’t want to end up like that i’m sure.

Come to think of it, I did go to sleep later than usual, so I might not have timed it right. Well, I’m going to keep trying.
Thanks for your input everyone

Did you keep trying this? It sounds like a really good idea.

Actually I’ve been taking a break from lucid dreaming for a bit, I just don’t have the time. But in a few weeks I’ll have some time off work to practise again before college, so I will try this again at that time. I’ll let you know how it goes.
