I like it a lot. It’s fascinating how the game requires strickt logical thinking, but also a bit creativity. I know many of you think that it’s too hard a game, but I’d recommend studying chess a bit for everyone. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes a real enjoyment - and there’s always more to learn.
So, what do YOU think about chess? Do you play it? Do you like it?
Well, I used to play it with my father when I was very little. I gave it up pretty quickly though - I didn’t find it hard, but I did find it really boring. (No offence.) It always took me so long to make a move that I’d always give up after a while even when I was winning! I don’t have the patience to sit through a whole game even now… I’d rather do something with a bit more variety and flexibility.
lol one of those games i love to play! (all the same haven’t a great deal skill)
i enjoy a good game of chess… but in small doses, i get distracted to easily after a game or two if i dont win lol.
I like chess, I think it’s a wonderful game, but i don’t think I’m patience to learn it. Although I’m planning to study it this summer… get me some ebooks, and stuff,… ahhh i have a headache already
I mean i can beat “noobies”, but i will be taken easily down by advanced players
I play it randomly, but i started to play it with my dad and i still play it if someone invites me. I think that Yahoo chess is pretty good, but i like RL chess usually more.
I love playing chess and I’ve been part of my shool’s chess club.
I’ve also been part of our chess varsity team. (Honestly, I think I was the weak link of the team)
I rememeber when we were deciding our order based on our who was best. My game decided who was goin to be rank 2 or 3(there was only 5-6 of us.)It was an unbelieveably close match. My opponent, who I know as better than me and more experienced was as calm as a rock as opposed to me which was really nervous. When I move a piece, you could really see my hands shaking. It was one of the few moments in chess where I got an adrenaline rush. I couldn’t believe I lasted that long against him and that the match was so even. But then again, I had 5 minutes left in my clock while he had at least 15 minutes on his. Time pressure inevitably cost me the game.
It was then I really accepted what my coach told me. I had potential to be good chess player.
I’m no longer part of the team now since, I never really got to practice my game so I left for the good of the team. I still enjoya chess game now and again but my best performance has always been when I was part of the varsity. I’m no longer that good nowadays.
I was kinda stuck on one beach in Thailand for a long while, and we smoked pot and played chess all the days. It was very intense and brilliant experience!
It even got this far that my ex and I dreamt about being the figures in the chess, and all our life was based on our tiny movements
I love chess allso I havnt played in a year, its allso good to play some chess before you go to bed at night, it wakes up your logical thinking, and that can be good for LDing. I would love to play you sometime.
Here is the most comical chess game I’ve ever played. It was a few days ago. I decided to call the black opening the “Flying Bullfrog Gambit”, as it doesn’t exist and it worths to be given a name.
Black plays the worst 3 first moves that can be imagined. White (thats’ me ) plays perfectly. Neither Alekhine, neither Bronstein, nor Bobby Fisher could have played better. So this game is a little jewel!

One time I was on this big camp in summer with like 800 people. Someone organized a little chess tournament. I won a few games and got into the final without even knowing. I decided that I’d like to try a new opening, moved the pawn at the side of the board two squares, the one next to him one square.
My opponent brought his queen through the gap between the pawns and I was checkmate after about three moves. We both just sat there laughing and couldn’t quite believe what just happenedg
Later I checked, what I did was the fastest way possible to loose a chess game, even if you control both sides
Anyways, I like chess, but I am not a really good player. I usually win when playing against beginners or people who are totally out of practice, but I never went to a club or something and quickly loose against anyone who did.
I like chess, I’d say I’m pretty good at it, but I haven’t played in a few monthes. If anyone wants to challenge me on an online chess game website or something, bring it on
