Childhood Dreams

Okay, so. When I was young I would always have these reoccuring dreams about some caucasion man in a red truck taking me away. In those particular dreams, I would always feel like I’m being kidnapped; the emotions were strong. I would have this same exact dream up until I was the age of five. Strange huh? And I was wondering if those dreams could be linked to a past life, considering the enormous amounts of time spent, dreaming this dream. Secondly, when I was young (5-13), I remember asking myself, IRL, if I could wake up inside dreams. I would be sleep, and dreaming, then waking up thinking, “what if I had woken up.” I would go back to sleep intending to, then unknown by me, LD. No success. I didn’t achieve my first LD until I was 18, after I was knowledgeable about the subject. Any similar stories, and/or an answer, or opinion to my question would be appreciated.

 Hey that’s cool you tried to LD before you had any lucid dreams! You actually remember dreams from before you were 5 or just that recurring one?

When I was a child I used to have these dreams about suddenly discovering I could fly, walk on walls, or about discovering hidden aspects in my house, like hidden doors and rooms behind the closet or under the bed. And on the long run these dreams, when I think back to them, I have a strange feeling that they were not dreams, but real life events! When I got my first intentional lucid dream about 8 months ago, all these dreams memories started getting back to me in the LD, and I really think some of them (esp. the flying ones) were lucid dreams, although there’s no way to be sure (maybe these are false memories). However I’m sure that I had at least once lucid dream, I think I was 12 years old. I was dreaming and suddenly realized I was dreaming, and erased the dreamscape and the only thing that remained was a vast white emptiness. I started to create my own objects and furniture.

When I was 15 my dreams became fantastically strange and I started writing them, but unfortunately after four years I only found only three of those dreams (which are not the most exciting ones  ). Fighting a goblin with a tape recorder, The temple of Mexican names,… strange dream adventures. Then I watched the episode of Voyager when Chakote uses the image of the moon to recognize that he’s dreaming. I thought that they put this in Voyager as fiction but I knew that maybe I can do that do have another lucid dream (I called it dream control). I tried it for a few nights, but I soon gave up. Then last year I saw Waking Life and found LD4all…
