Clarity Problem In Dreams

Being that… There is none.
When I wake up, my dreams are only ever a hazy blur.

From the way some of you talk about LD’s on here, you describe them as being real, or in some cases, more real than real life itself.

But with me, dreams are only as clear as if I were to close my eyes and picture a scene, which isn’t very clear at all.

And I am talking about the few LD’s that i’ve had too. They were dissapointing. (due to lack of clarity, mainly when I’ve awoken)

Is this normal?

Everyones clarity is diffrent and their are many people with low clarity. Mine Vividness was the same until I started a dream Diary. It Really Helps. Although vividness Improves alot when Lucid apparently.

coudlnt have said it any better. Use a dream diary, you will find the lack of clarity is probally caused by lack of recall. Improve your recall and the rest will follow

if that is not it, try to pay close attention in the dream, reflect on the fact that you may not remember it and you surely will.

Did you ever wonder “wow, this looks so real” while dreaming? I recall some LD’s, where I was amazed by vividness of the dream while I was “inside” it. When I woke up the dream did not seem so vivid, so I guess it might by my visual memory that’s at fault. Maybe it’s your case as well?

Happend to me, too. I only had one LD yet, but in the dream everything looked so vivid, but when I woke up I didn’t remember it so vividly.

Maybe the brain works more during REM sleep than during wake state ?

The brain IS more active during the REM sleep than when awake. Unless in waking life you are doing something active like jogging or having sex, to use the same examples as Stephen Laberge.

Vividity has everything to do with DR. WHEN you are having an LD or simply a ND everything looks real, but if we can’t recall every detail our mind makes it blurry. Improve your DR and you will notice a differens in vividity too.

If a DD doesn’t help, try to just not forget the hazy bit of the dream you have. Sometimes certain things in our morning routine or things throughout the day can help jolt the memory. Then grab a piece of paper and scribble down everything you recall before you forget it again.

Try a dream diary like the rest of these folks insisted, and take melatonin too. It’s said that melatonin increases vividness in dreaming. Goodluck mate!

try melatonin and b6… it can help you remember your dreams more and they will be more vivid.

Some dreams I think can be more vivid then others, but also the clarity, for me goes away the longer I am awake at times.
