alright… i know im prob. boring cause i already posted like too help forums…sorry! but i still have a feww more questions. but anyways heres my questions.
everyone told me im of too a good start (jornal, reality checks, and symbol dictionary) but what should i put in the jornal? the way the atmosperhe feels, conversation section, symbol deipher section??? the list goes on.
2.people say you can dream toegther, some say its impossible…anyone please tell me the real awnser? (if it works im gonna hang out with some friends)
3.i know this is a horrible question, but can you possible figure out what happens when you pass over? or maybe past lives?
thats it! sorry for ur trouble…god im annoying sometimes lol…
I don’t keep a dreaming journal per se. However, I do lucid dreaming to gain knowledge, so when I learn something, I write it down as soon as I wake up, before the memory fades.
No. “Shared dreaming” is complete nonsense. If someone wants to try to prove it’s real under lab conditions, I’d like to see them do so.
Most of what I’m learning in LDs has to do with “passing over.” But I’m not ready to talk about it yet.
Anything you remember. A person with no face? Put it in. A tree? That too. Something big? Definitely.
There is no “real” answer. Some people cough arne cough believe it is a load. Others have experienced a shared dream, and say it’s as real as you or me. We have a group on ld4all devoted to shared dreams. Look up “The Chroniclers”.
I just write down everything that’s in the dream, and add comments on it throughout or after the entry.
No, shared dreaming is not possible.
Passing over? If you mean dying, lucid dreams wouldn’t reveal to you any information besides what your subconscious imagination creates. Usually in my dreams, when I die I wake up, or “restart” and live again. I know that there’s no way to prove if past lives exist or not, but I don’t think so. If they did, what would be the point of them, anyway?
I don’t get it, not to ge a jerk , but you guys accept the possibility of an after life but shared dreaming is completely out of the question. Just something to think about. I don’t believe or disbelieve either. I guess it’s like the whole god discussion: some believe, some don’t, and ultimately you can’t prove it. But, not being able to prove it doesn’t make it not real…
So yeah, as Unseen_eye said, there is no “real” answer. So just try it out and see what happens
dream journal helps get your mind in the right mode to remember dreams, at the end of writing down a dream i just write down notes such as “if theres a hole in my face i should notice that, if i fall a long way and i just feel a thud etc”
Shared dreaming is a big argument in lucid dreamers. i had a shared dream recently, no way my girlfriend would have even known what my friends house looked like but sure enough we were in the same dream together at his house. I still am sceptical about the whole thing, but i would say to you, do not let anyone discourage your curiousity and want to explore the subject. If you want to go visit your friends and have dreams together with them then try it. There is a lot we do not know about our minds, spirits, and how they work, no one can give you definitive answers on anything, its just what they have noticed works for them and others.
explore man, dont stop discovering, thats what this whole thing is about (at least for me) to learn what’s in there and discover new things about myself. Learn how it all works and see how it all fits together.
You write down as much as you can. That can include images, sounds, feelings etc.
The more, the better. Even if it makes little sense and you can recall just a fragment of your dream. Those fragments help you remember more in the future.
Some say yes, some say no. It’s what you believe, no one can tell you generally. Some people claimed to have experienced shared dreaming, but cannot provide evidence.
I neither think it’s true, nor false. How could I possibly know?
Oh, and, if you want to try, join the chroniclers (there’s an icon beneath my avatar. Click on it)
Well, you can try to figure out and see for yourself through lucid dreaming, but it doesn’t mean it’s true, 'cause your brain will show it to you the way it thinks it will look like.
LOL tony! anyways, I agree with him, write EVERYTHING down, and join the chroniclers! (I’m open-minded on the idea of shared dreams because of the countless stories I’ve heard about them )
Think for a minute how earth-shattering that would be – screaming newspaper headlines and endless television specials and infomercials about how two people can actually share the same dream!
As I said, I won’t hold my breath waiting for that to happen.
It wouldn’t be. I mean, yes, some would theorize telepathic communication, and there might be a week of hype, but really, its not that big. Two people or more in one dream. Whoo. But still, who are you to say it can’t happen? The thought has been going around for years, it’s never been a major thing.
Right by your bed is the ideal place so you can immediately find it and write your dreams down as soon as you wake up.
While some people claim it has happened, there is no evidence or proof suggesting it is possible.
Obviously dreams cannot tell you anything about whether there is an afterlife or not etc., etc. They can however help you sort out your thoughts to the matter or give you some insight as to what you feel.
Are you serious? This would be huge. Two people in one dream would damn near prove telepathic communication and create a massive number of new questions for science to answer and give entirely new perspective on the mind may function and what it is capable of.
Then why has the concept been around for so long, yet no single true scientific report been done, and reported on? I mean, there are thousands of people claiming they’ve shared dreams, why has it taken so long for a study to be conducted?
Honestly I feel like that question is a bit of a strawman question. I have no way of knowing why studies haven’t been conducted, if in fact no such studies have been done. Could be lack of funding, logistics, etc. There are many reasons a study wouldn’t have been performed.
I think a better question is how wouldn’t the existence of shared dreaming be groundbreaking. It would mean that people’s mind can somehow link and share information in a “telepathic” manner. That’s some pretty revolutionary stuff we are dealing with and totally changes our understanding of the brain.
If you don’t think verified shared dreaming indicates some sort of telepathic link then what mechanism could shared dreaming be operating by that wouldn’t be of immense interest?
I’ve personally experienced a shared dream with my sister, which only became apparant when i talked about it in the morning and she knew details that were there that I hadn’t mentioned.
I figure it’s more to do with having had similar thoughts and experiences during the day that just happened to manifest itself as a similar if not identical dream in both of our minds than telepathy, though. Despite having had at least two shared dreams personally (the second was with my best friend at the time) I find it heavily unlikely that there’s anything paranormal about it.
