This can be for ND’s or LD’s. Does anyone ‘collect’ inspiration? Let me explain. Whenever you see something pretty or hear nice music that you want to be in your dreams - or more precisely, inspire your dreams - do you stop to pay attention, look at the details, tell yourself (your SC) that you like it and would like it to inspire your dreams?
I try to do this whenever I remember. Right at this moment, for example, I just opened a flash game with some really nice music. It’s kind of mysterious in a medieval/celtic kind of way, and I’d love to get more things like flutes, castles, fauns, archers, valleys, dragons, whatever in my dreams
Sometimes I see a cool house with architecture I like, or a different painting and simply look at it, at every detail, without thinking much. I trust my SC has absorbed it all and I hope it can see how I feel about it.
I do collect inspiration, indeed, and sometimes I know one will come, especially when I look more into lucid dreaming videos on YouTube (just like today). But the heat of my inspiration came from February to April. Even though I did not have very many journaled lucid dreams in that time, the inspiration itself just felt amazing. Sometimes I would even listen to this music just to heat up my inspiration a little bit more (that’s the reason why I have that song in my signature, simply because it reminds me of some of my amazing lucid dream experiences). Man, just thinking about those times gets me in the mood to lucid dream tonight.
thanks for the comments I’m just practicing more on my LD skills… it’s fun to do when you are in a boring place. Try to look for one single interesting thing in all the boring things
This sounds really intresting. If you think about something and put strong emotions in it, it’s a big chance that you ‘remember’ it later in a dream. I tried this with RCs a couple of days ago, I just ‘filled’ the check (I wanted it to appear in my dream) with a strong feeling of longing. I just found out that if I focus a tiny, tiny bit more on whatever occurs around me and try to remember details an’ stuff, it’s easier for me to become lucid. Funny. I don’t know if it’s the same, for you but for me it’s pretty much the same thing
I want to try this out when I become better at LDing: I must focus on actually getting a lucid dream first
