Like I wrote before, I just started with getting into lucid dreaming. I had two short lucid dreams and since I obtained EWLD and read other pages (like this one) about LDs, I improved my dream recall and started a dream diary.
Now I’m confused about inducing lucid dreams, because I recognised that my consciousness ‘improved’ in dreams:
Sometimes I think in dreams about the action and boom, my dreams get a lot clearer and more realistic. A rather disgusting example (if you cannot stand disgusting things, plz do not read any further now… excuse me for that example): I dreamt that I vomitted into a toilet. Then I thought about changing the color of the vomit and it changed its color to red, green, blue, yellow and brown. But I did not realise that I dreamt. I experience such “semi-lucid dreams” more often in the last time, but I never get fully lucid.
Do you have got some suggestions? Should I dream more to collect more dreamsigns or should I start to switch to a dream inducing technique?
Well, i think the vividness increased because you have been conciously making an effort to improove your dream recall. The vomit changing colors without you being lucid is just a subconcious thing that you’re doing. You’ve obviously thought about all the possibilities of being lucid. The vomit was changing colors because you’ve thought about changing things in your dream. But if you can train yourself to notice these changes if they keep occuring in your dreams, it might be a wonderful dream sign!
I agree with …:illusion:… above. Your memory of your dreams are what is becoming more vivid which is a good thing. You will also find that as you practice LD’ing that your dreams will start to become more interesting as well. Having the ability to change the color of your vomit does not mean that you are having a half lucid dream. (If there is such a thing). Before I was practicing lucid dreaming I had all sorts of magical powers in my dreams such as turn myself invisible. However I did not know why (because I was dreaming) I could do it. That is what is missing from the dream you described.
