This morning, like usual, I fell asleep while trying to WILD. But as soon as the dream started, rather than later on as with RCILDs, I kind of remembered trying to WILD and realized I was dreaming and had a short lucid dream.
So now I’m wondering, is WILD supposed to be like that? Just keeping aware ENOUGH so that you keep some of that awareness once you fall asleep?
Or is it passing straight from awake to a lucid dream, having those hallucinations, visualizations and whatnot?
I believe that it is both. WILD and MILD and the rest are all very broad terms to class what their definitions are. I think that WILD works different for everyone, and what you believe WILD is, it is for you. Don’t stress too much about the method, but congrats on the LD
Thanks. I guess I’ll have to see if I can get this technique to work consistently, since MILD doesn’t work on me and RCILD is too erratic. It’s the third LD in which I’ve spent the whole time messing around trying to get that Dream Clock technique working only to wake up trying to get the numbers perfect. I suck at creating things.
Yes. I mean, to start dreaming you need to fall asleep at some time, right? You need to keep awareness to the point where you would usually just fall asleep or become more awake. I usually recognize this by vibrations and later that transition from waking state to dream state lasts only a sec or at least it feels like a second…
Like I said, I believe you can’t just be awake and and then in LD without falling asleep. Hallucinations and visualizations are just hypnagogic Hallucinations that are happening just before lucid dream, sometimes you may experience them and sometimes you won’t…
Actually… you can! well… technically, you’re ‘asleep’ when you are lucid dreaming. But you don’t have to go through any hallucinations and that ‘falling asleep phase’ isn’t necessary for some (me )
Like this: wake up like you normally would, decide to sleep in, close eyes and lie still in any position you like, feel relaxation, look up to third eye and get up and walk away hehe All this is just a minute to a few minutes time while being completely aware from start till lucid!
Yeah, but I meant about the dream state. You can’t dream if you’re not asleep[theoretically]. Eventually you must fall asleep in order to have a dream, you may skip falling asleep part but you can’t dream in waking state! [I mean on actual dream, not dreaming like daydreaming ]
