Conjuration and Transfiguration Manual

Introduction
Last Night I went to bed farely late and went out like a lightbulb. I went into one of the deepest sleeps I’ve ever had (I get Insomnia on high levels). I slept right through to 9:40AM (I usually awake at 7:30, that is a lay in for me). Anyway, to the point, I had the longest dream I’ve ever had and the majority of it was Lucid!! I was struggling with Conjuration and Transfiguration so I had a whole hour of fun experimenting with different things In my own personal dream sandbox. So here is what i learned…

Step One: Planning
Always plan what you are going to do before you go to sleep. This is the key so you don’t have to think too much in a lucid dream, then get distracted and even lose lucidity. Last night before I went to bed, I said to myself in my head, “Tonight I’m going to have a lucid dream and I will practice Conjuration.” You have to believe it. Also, plan a few hours before you go to bed, even if the first dream isn’t what you want you will eventually end up somewhere. Maybe drink some Milk or eat a Banana before bed too.

Step Two: Performing
Ok. So you are now on a level of lucidity where you have some ounce of control. I noticed that when I become lucid I feel this wave of energy, almost like power, go through my body and I begin to look at the surroundings in the dream to figure out what needs to be done. Kinda like a decorator looking at the room he is about to fix up. As soon as I was lucid because of my planning before hand I immediately knew what I had to do. (Please remember failure is the first step to success, you can learn from your mistakes. All techniques expressed in this Tutorial will be from own experience and users may want to expand on it to fit their needs.)

Step Three: Technique
I used a number of techniques last night in my dream. Some of them failed while others were more accurate. I will list them and give them names so you can refer to them with your questions.

Blinking - First, have the idea set in your mind. Perhaps you are about to conjure up a friend or enemy. Or even an animal or thing. Make sure it’s in your mind and say to yourself, “When I blink it will appear”. You may have to blink a few times but you have to believe it. If the thing you want appears but is distorted and far off, do not dwell on it, you may distract yourself, lose lucidity or wake up altogether.

Behind - This is the best working technique for myself. You have to say to yourself, “[Thing] is behind me”. You have to say it firmly in your head or outloud (remember, it’s a dream) and you have to really believe it. Simply turn around and whatever it is should be behind you.

Hand Painting - I did this a few times to reorder or delete objects and things in a dream. I even used it to turn a store cupboard into a corridor. It’s very simple, keep the idea in your head that you are trying to do. Then confidently wave your hand out infront of you and “paint” the idea onto it.

Spin - The last technique. It’s name could be self-explanatory. First, as usual, hold the idea firmly in your mind. Look at the area you want to change or the area you want something to appear. Make sure that is in your mind too. Spin around on the spot (maybe 2 to 3 times) untill it changes. Note: Spin too much and you may teleport yourself into some random place and may even lose lucidity. I will write up a teleportation manual soon.

Step Four: Feedback
Feel free to post questions or comments here if you have any queries. You may also post your own ideas to improve the manual. Don’t be shy :peek:

Step Five: Have Fun
Have fun with it! Post your experiences here…

I tried this in my last LD.
I tried making the shape of a body by moving my hands in the air. It didn’t exactly work but then the door opened and there were people (I’ve never been out of my room in an LD, and I’ve never seen other DCs - I’ve only had 3 LDs) so I’m not sure whether I had an effect on this or not.

this is pretty interesting although can i try things other than conjouring, like transformation i have always been intrigued that through dreaming you can be something that you have neverbeen berfor and experience what it experiences

Well, it’s a very simple yet hard concept. Because in waking life these things will never happen, sometimes our brains will just not respond to it. Try this:

  1. When you are lucid, conjure up a mirror or find a mirror.
  2. Have a good look at yourself, make sure you can remember exactly what you are wearing and what you look like.
  3. Now try to transform each part of the body slowly, starting from feet or hands, if it looks distorted or doesn’t work, do not dwell on it, just go to the next part.
  4. Eventually your whole self will be changed.
  5. If you want to try something else alittle harder, you could perhaps try to transform your whole body at once. It’s very simple yet hard to get right. Get the thing you want to transform into in your mind and hold it there lightly. Now concentrate on you changing into it, try and figure out how you should move in this state.

Hopefully this will help you,
All the best in your Dreams!
