I had my third lucid dream. The other two were extremely short but this one was pretty substantial. Long story short, I realized I was dreaming and was controlling where I was going and all but could only change the size of different objects in the dream. I tried imagining a new area/scene and it wouldn’t take. So I could control where i was going and different sizes of objects but thats it. Help! I want to go farther than that!
I don’t think you should worry about it. In some lucid dreams i have much control, and in some I have no control. The only explanation i can come up with is luck. Try getting 10 LD’s before you think about controlling them. It is likely that you have much control in one of them. And from that you can feel how you should do to control the environment instead of reading some tutorial.
Some beginners can’t control anything. You should consider it progress that you were able to control the size of objects

Trying to visualize a new dream scene and materialize it is very hard. The best way to achieve it is by using some kind of portal or transit method. Try imaging the new dreamscene is behind a closed door,behind a mirror or on a televion that you can make big enough to step into. Spinning while thinking about the desired place can also work. It’s also very important that you truely believe it will work.
Another technique to get between areas that I use which doesn’t require spawning anything is to find a corner and say to yourself that when you get around the corner you’ll be in the location that you want.
Another way that is less reliable but doesn’t even require a corner is to do a similar thing, but say that when you turn around you’ll be in the location you want. Turn around. If you have the control, you’ll be there.
