Could I use WILD without WBTB

For me, waking up in the middle of the night means no good. I hate it when my sleep is interrupted. BUT I also want to try WILD since it seems like something I could do-I can recognize HI. But I heard that WILD works with WBTB. Is there a way I could use WILD without WBTB, or will I have to use both to get it to work? :help: :bored:

Well, personally I have not yet bother to even try WILDing when I go to sleep at night. Mainly because I find it so damn hard even when I am sleepy from waking up in the early morning. But some people do WILD when they go to sleep, thing is that you will have to stay conscious for about 90 minutes (I think?) before your first REM cycle starts or something. And your dream periods will be shorter than after sleeping a couple of hours. But as I said, some people do WILD when they go to bed at night, so give it a shot, it’s not impossible, everyone is different. Im thinking on trying it sometime aswell. Most people will recommend sleeping 5-6 hours before attempting it though. Goodluck!

It works well when you go to sleep but, yet, is still more comfortable to do it with WBTB for begginers. When you go to sleep, as said, it will take longer until you reach an altered state, that would mean longer period of SP, which concludes with higher possibility to fail because you may become really scared at any point.
But if you can recognize HI it is much easier, doing WILD when going to bed it will just give you more time to “play” with the objects you see

You can WILD while just going to sleep, but the WBTB method helps. It takes a while longer though, but if you focus and concentrate you can do it without much problem. I’ve done as i start to sleep a few times, but i personally prefer WBTB.
