i might be a little late with as it happened a while ago.
any way, the story is that. ive known about, and researched lucid dreams for about a year now. ive had a couple but had a big break in the middle, in which i just couldt get any motivation. but now im back to try again!
so, what i experienced was that WILD was never my technique, it always freaked me out, and i could never see it through to the end. but then one night as i woke up. it was like 2 AM. i went to take a piss. and got back in bed to carry on sleeping. but the thing was that i was in bed for no more than 2 minutes, just trying to sleep. when the HI started coming up. and what it was, was 2 guys i was talking to. and i was in 3rd person. but bassiclly i asked them to hold a bendable stick, which electrocuted you if you touched it. and as they were holding it, my dream self walked out of view. and said to me, believe it is a dream. and BAM he just ran at that stick like a mad man, and jumped at it with great velocity. and just as he jumped. i went totally limp as in SP. and the rough ride of WILD started. for me this includes the shaking sensation and alien noises. more or less the all-in packet.
but yeah, not really a question in here. but i just wanted to share this, and ask if anyone has ever also experienced one of these ‘accelerated SP’ by the action of your HI.
I’ve been watching HI and have been suddenly thrown into an OBE. That is, one time, watching HI, deeply relaxed but not in SP, I had the sensation of suddenly being sucked toward a ring of stars in the HI.
The suddenness of it is really memorable.
I’ve had many experiences where I’ve been affected by the HI, but it hasn’t necessarily been an accelerating of SP. For instance, during SP I’ve heard a cat in the room (when there was physically no cat). I’ve felt the cat leap onto the bed and nudge me. This hypnogogic “imagery” was entirely auditory and kinesthetic. I didn’t see the cat, but heard it purring, felt the bed shift as it jumped onto it, etc. Usually, when this happens, I have intense energy sensations–numbness or tingling blossoming through different areas. So I guess you could say it’s related to SP.
thats really interesting. so youre saying that you even get the touch sensation when you are trying to WILD. ive not heard of that before. ive heard of people opening their eyes and seeing hallucinations. but never that they felt it. cause wouldnt that mean that even though its all in your head, it could still hurt you? opposed to what everyone says ‘its just a dream, nothing can hurt you!’
any way glad to know im not the only one who gets affected by the HI.
Yep, HI is reffered to the visual part of HH, but the hallucinations can be of any sense, even taste or smell (although I haven’t had those that I remember).
Things in dreams (or HI, etc) can’t hurt you in the sense of causing any permanent damage. Contrary to what many people believe, you CAN feel pain in dreams (it’s just usually a bit different. In my experience it’s more of an annoying type of pain. And I guess some people rarely do feel pain in dreams, it’s just possible). In my own experience I still think it’s nothing to worry about
Actually, HI can be anything from the abstract forms, through floating images and static scenes, to full moving scenes.
