Creating your future out of lucid dreams...?

People often speak of dreams in which they can see the future. I have had a few vivid dreams in which the events in the dream actually happened in my waking life. I was thinking of an interesting concept. If regular dreams had potential to reveal the future, is it not possible for lucid dreams to have the potential to create the future? What happens in a lucid dream is a result of your mind - - when trying to accomplish something in your lucid dream, you can’t just think that it’s possible, but know that it’s possible for something to be accomplished - doubt or disbelief leads to failure in accomplishing your goals in lucid dreams. Could the simple doubt /disbelief of lucid dreams effecting actual reality be the only thing limiting it from doing so? Obviously nobody is going to start flying through the skies in reality like we do in our dreams, our world has properties & boundaries, but could the lucid dream ever have any effect on something in our actual reality? The mind is a powerful thing which is yet to be fully understood, and until it is, will be fully underestimated.

(just something to think about)

Start to try from within a lucid dream to control the future of your dream time…so try to prolong your lucid dream time in the future…if that is possible who knows what else is to possible with your future?!!

Seeing the future and creating the future are two very different things.

You can ofcourse try out different futures in lucid dreams, like do I actualy wan’t to be a doctor, or how would it suite me to be a pilot. But to do this with a realistic effect I think you would need a DLTR* that last for like a week or so (I hope we will make that soon).
But as Alex said, the future doesn’t allways come out as we would want it to do :smile:

  • DLTR = Dream Longer Than Reality

The most amazing book I have ever read on dreaming is,
Robert Moss: Dreamgates

He wrote another book called
Dreaming True. I’m pretty sure this is about dreaming the future.

Have a look for it!

A non-friend of mine told me he had a psychic dream of me before I had even moved to Maryland :eek: The scary thing is, he said he had a crush on me in second grade(way before I moved) look:

dreamluva: i understand what your thinking off…

suppose this;
there is a big bang, and resulting from that atoms begin to move outward, moving that way for a undefinable time. the universe would keep getting bigger (infinite regression maybe). suppose you had a good enough computer with great enough crunching power, and it could pre determine where every atom would be going, see into the future in other words, so you could figure out whats going to happen before it happens. its been proved that humans use maybe 15% of their brains capacity… I dont think we even comprehend what potential our minds have…
maybe our mind, when there are not everyday thought processes happening to use that 15%, because those do take a lot of processing power, walking for example, its very hard to make a 2 legged robot to walk properly. so suppose in your sleep your brain could be calculating possibilities of what might happen next? sounds absurd that your brain would be mapping atoms (and maybe not atoms but something else), but then again there is a lot of uncharted regions in the brain…

very wild speculation, but a possibility…
