Day dreaming

whats the meaning by “day dreaming”, how u do that, and is it good for?

A day dream is a low level of consciousness where you give little effort to elaborate on your certain fantasies or everday thoughts. It’s not good for any real practical use, I don’t think, unless you have a creative job I suppose. Aside from that, they pass the time when teachers give wholey boring lectures…

oh i think i know what u mean, just needed the term. thanks

I think day dreaming can be good training for visualisation, and that could help with lucid dreaming, too

Day-dreaming is a wonderful thing  We use the same part of our brain, the frontal cortex, during both day-dreaming and REM dreaming. So, it might be said that we have a positive effect on our night (REM) dreams by frequently exercising our ability to day-dream.

I love to daydream. If it really helps my REM at night, then all the better. It’s probably good for dream incubation too.

when u daydream, do u just fall asleep on the day or… what do u do?

i dont daydream so it could help if u told me how

im shure i would know what u where talking about but i cant remember

daydreaming is just using your imagination

I constantly daydream, but i usually impose this over the real world, I think this is why I have little trouble with dream control, I can always imagine something happening and how it will happen.

Well, a daydream is basicly vividly imagining and visualising something. This can be an entire adventure or simply what your dad will do when you show him your report card. I daydream sometimes during class. I sit there and imagine shows and other things I like and what I would do if I was put in that situation. Take for example the movie Saw 2. They were stuck in an old house with all the doors and windows barred and were breathing in toxic fumes. They had 2 hours to escape. Did they ever consider going through the walls?! NO!!! That’s what I would have done… Anyways, I agree that daydreaming serves no real purpose. When you daydream you are basicly giving away control of your mental processes to your subconscious. That’s not something one who wants to LD should generally do. One should in fact do the oposite and work towards maintaining consciousness throughout the entire day. That’s basicly what daydreaming is and how to go about doing it.

I daydream sometimes.
I actually am “away” sometimes in my own thoughts …
When I`m in love am I doing it ALL the time … :nodnodwinkwink:

I actually managed to walk wrong way when I was going homw from a friends house when I was doing that …
They never stop reminding me .
And laugh

Its first now I connect daydreaming and go in my own thoughts , often Ive been happy when I got sparetime to just sit down and do that .

Its funny the way you see things and dont “care”

Hes coming my way . Hes got the football .

Oh my god his got the ball !!

I play defence …

lol petter…i think ive done something like that before too.

Love day dreaming, very fun. Of course I’m easily distracted if I don’t like what’s going on in the real world, so I go to Lala Land a lot during the day.
