Here’s an interesting subject that ive been dying to test for quite some time but havent been having any lucids in about…forever . Anyways has anyone ever had the thought that maybe DC’s are actually other dreamers who have not realized that they are dreaming. If you think about it the worlds population is enormous and everyone sleeps and everyone dreams. A really really good amount of people also have no clue what lucid dreaming is neither do they care about remembering their dreams. so next time your having a non lucid about being chased down by some killer maybe you could be in the same dreamscape/area as a sleeping serial killer? I personally have messed with a few ''sleeping supplements" that induce practically sleepwalking but being awake and as i recall i sounded like a dumbass dc the whole time…so i always question the fact if a dc could possibly be another dreamer not aware/caring about his dreams to the point where theres no recall. so id like to test and wake up another dreamer while im lucid and make him/her lucid by having both of us be dreaming.
That’s very interesting! Robert Waggooner in his book ‘Lucid Dreaming - Gateway to the Inner Self’ writes that this is possible. He’s writing about his experiments with a friend (friend was lucid and he wasn’t). And he even had LD where he met a woman who invited him to his house and told him that she lives in a small town on the border of Ukraine and Romania, and when he checked that in rl he discovered, that there is really such a town (before that dream he even didn’t know that Ukraine have a border with Romania!)
I had one dream (normal) where I met some DC, who was soooo different than other DC’s that I’m thinking all the time if that was some Lucid Dreamer who wanted to “wake me” in that dream.
thanks i knew i wasnt the only one who thought this! i just brought it up a few times and my friends thought i was crazy. but ive also had dreams about incredibly interesting dreams with a few interesting/interactive and proactive, helpful dc’s. it is almost like they knew i was dreaming but theyre attempts of awakening me inside the dream where futile .
ALSO…i believe that the human mind is the one medical subject that hasnt really been touched as much as other aspects of the human body. ancient indian cultures thought dreams were visions and they used their inner eye 10x more then we do now. Also pyschology isnt the oldest subject around its fairly new and a lot of it is theories. and up until SL there wasnt really any schools for dreams and theyre a fairly new subject of study and experimenting aka a whole new frontier

I kind of do believe the possibility of shared dreaming, but not in such large scale, maybe as if a few persons, and only a few, were in fact real.
I’m experimenting on making contact with someone else while asleep.
I once tried a shared dream with my sister. I thought it worked, because I had a long LD with her in it. She told me about her own dream world, and we had a lot of fun! But when I woke up I discovered she woke up before me. So I was having the LD while she wasn’t sleeping at all… apparently my ‘sister’ was just a DC.
Right now I’ve no idea what to believe. I thought it was possible to have a shared dream, but after this I don’t know what to think. O well, it will always be a mystery to me I guess
Love, Lillyth.
Now while I haven’t had a for sure shared dreaming experience with anyone else, I do believe it to be a rather good possibility. I remember having a dream and thought I was having a shared dreaming experience with a friend of mine considering that we were in the same school that we normally go to but when I told him that he was dreaming, he became very hostile and thus I was convinced that my friend was just another not-so-benign DC. As for your hypothesis of DC’s possibly being dreamers , I like the idea and agree with it somewhat as I have thought about that in the past.
Hm, although I also believe in shared dreaming, it is my philosophy that one has to have intention on both sides for a shared dream. Otherwise, your consciousness is just traveling through the countless inner dimensions we all contain. If you have conversations with enough DCs, you will find they contradict themselves often.
For example, you may find out a DC said he lives in New York, then ask him a few minutes later, he’ll tell you he lives in New Jersey.
And also we can disprove this by looking at the example that was mentioned above; becoming lucid and interacting with someone who is not actually asleep and dreaming. If your interested in this type of subject however, (Interacting with the “non-aware” consciousness of others) I’d suggest looking into OOBE.
