Hello, I have been trying to lucid dream for over an year now, but the closests I’ve come to are moments during my dreams where I recognize it’s a dream, and try all kinds of things to take over, but fail. It almost seems like that the subconscious will simply not give in to the consciousness, and moments of lucidity are thus fruitless. Sometimes I wonder if I’m dreaming about lucid dreaming (one time I recalled having several consequtive WILD sensations, but I wonder if it’s actually in the dream in which I am trying to WILD), and that I’m not really lucid, but rather confused into thinking I am, then denied lucidity because it really isn’t there. I know this may sound confusing, but does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Do you have control over your own body? For example, can you decide wether to turn left or right?
If you just lack skills like flying or changing your dreamscape it is a matter of techniques and practice. If you don’t have any control at all you are perhaps not lucid, though.

Try and just change little things at first then work your way up. Allow your self time to get used to using your dream powers. Also keep in mind the we tend to bring our waking world expectations into the dream world with us. You need to learn to let go of those restrictions. Can you post an example of you lucid dreams, or at least explain what kinds of dream control you are having problems with?

Also you need to keep as calm as possible when you first realise you’re dreaming. Sometimes I start off walking really slow coz it feels like any sudden movement will wake me up. Good luck

Yeh, I guess I haven’t exactly been calm in those moments of lucidity. One instance, where I remembered I was trying to fly, and my subconscious tricked me into thinking I was flying by bouncing up and down very high. Another instance was when I realized I was lucid, but there were all these dark patches in my vision and I was trapped in some sort of cement structure, unable to free myself into lucidity. Most recently, I had a lucid moment when I realized I was dreaming, and there was this person or doll that was in the room I was I. Everything was in a monotone color, but then I grabbed him, and tried to say something like “Lucidity x 1000”, but found words barely breathing out. Eventually, this wierd coloring effect came about to color everything, painting the person so that they looked like a puppet or something, but then after that I must have lost it. Something else I guess I could do is train myself to do RCs, but I don’t think I even got through one day successfully yet . Any tips on that maybe?
