I actually think I’ve had lucid dreams when I was younger since experiencing this…but anyways, did I have a lucid dream last night??! I tried inducing it by listening to YouTube videos, and I think it started to work.I was just laying there and all of a sudden I just felt different…it was a weird sensation and kinda mind blowing ha, but then I realized it and woke up. So I tried a different video…and I woke up(in my dream) I was in my room and I realized I was still sleeping.so I was so excited in my dream! I tried doing flips and stuff in my room and I was doing one handed handstand pushups lol, then later on I was by my dad and two other people in my kitchen and I was just full of excitement because I was in my first lucid dream. I kept checking my hands and some fingers were distorted and I had some extras, and that just made me more happy haha. I don’t remember much from there,I probably just started dreaming normally from there. I woke up this morning and I thought I must of just been dreaming and in my dream I was lucid dreaming, if that makes sense lol. But it just seemed real…it’s in my memory like it really happened. What do you guys think??
Technically your question is: “Was it an LD or an FLD?”
LD is the real Lucid Dream when you are fully aware of dreaming state while dreaming.
FLD is not being fully aware but you act like a lucid dreamer.
It’s hard to point out, but your description makes it look much like a real LD.
Once you have other LDs that are more stable and solid, you are probably going to be more sure of this one. I have a trouble describing LDs for people who just had their first of never had one.
Hmm…could you try describing what a FLD would be…sorry I don’t know how to phase this question ha. But say a dream scenario, what that dream would be like lucid vs fake? Or however you can describe it ha. Yeah I guess I will find out eventually anyways,I was just so excited ha.
It is all about awareness and your thoughts. So if it was a superficial ‘I’m dreaming’ then rushing off to do stuff automatically it could be a FLD.
But it sounds like a LD. When lucidity fades into a normal dream, it sometimes makes you wonder if you were lucid. I had one like that once, It took me a while to decide that it was lucid.
I think I have been lucid dreaming for a very long time and just didn’t realise it was out of the ordinary. I had no idea what lucid dreaming was until I googled being aware in dreams and this came up. so if someone could tell me if I am lucid dreaming or not that would be awesome.
okay so my most recent dream in the early hours of this morning. I knew I was in a dream as I always do. and so I was being chased but wasn’t particularly scared because I knew I could run as fast as I wanted to. I also knew I could create a gun in my dream so I did. I then couldn’t think of ways to get myself out of a situation occurring in my dream so I woke myself up. It took three turns before I actually was able to move my body and break the dream completely. whilst I was trying I was just in a blank space and my body just kept saying keep trying you have to wake up. so I did. it was a trip out. this frequently happens but mostly when I’m having a really scary dream.
