differences between WILD MILD and DILD (Help plz)

topic title changed from “Help plz” :moogle:

:help:

I’ve had 1 LD from DILD method, and I have a couple of questions…

  1. I’ve heard people say that WILDing during a nap should help you become better at LDing.

  2. Should I try to WILD during my actual sleep time or when I’m not as tired?

  3. Is MILD like when you are about to go into a dream, and you tell yourself that you are dreaming?

  4. I’ve tryed to WILD in middle of the day, and I can’t because I’m not tired, and my room is to bright. I also think that when I try, it keeps me from sleeping, saying “am i dreaming?” over and over… any suggestions?

Practise makes perfect. Chance of dreaming during a nap isn’t so great, but you can get into SP. So, it could help.

I think it’d be better to do it in your actual sleeptime. It’d be best to try WILD after WBTB, or just when you wake up at night.

Not really. MILD is basically just repeating a firstly chosen mantra before sleeping. It can be like “I will recogenize dream tonight”, “I will perform a DC and I will get lucid”, or just anything that will cause you to get lucid. Use one which works for you (MILD causes DILD’s - you are recogenizing that you are dreaming after falling asleep unconsciously).

WILD is falling asleep while keeping consciousness. Don’t expect to fall asleep in middle of day, when there is a lot of light and you aren’t even sleepy. Chance is really small.

Hope it helps :spinning:

If I wake up in middle of the night should I try WILD?

So is MILD going straight into a LD?

And DILD is becomeing lucid after you fall asleep and are in a dream?

Brain is still not on it’s main gear (Because of lack of better word  ), and you should fall asleep way faster. If you’ll keep consciousness - you’re having LD.

Nope. You repeat mantra before falling asleep , then you will fall asleep unconsciously, then you are having a ND, and finally THEN you are recogenizing that you are dreaming (DILD), and you are having a LD.

Yep

Quite untrue, During naps, there is no deep sleep, just REM. And dreams during naps are the most vivid.

I don’t always dream during a naps, so I referred to that. True is, dreams in naps are very vivid ones.

You probs didn’t nap long or you forgot it. But that is very unlikely, as you wake up DIRECTLY from the dream

wow, I’m an idiot sorry about that.

I have an inability to nap. It sucks, becuase if I could then I would be able to get a load more LD practice. any tips?

wait…WILDing is good for practice, but I should not do it if I’m not tired?
