First off, let me say hello, this is my first post.
within the last few months, I have been have recurring dreams…it first started out with me having the ability to fly in uncomfortable situations…after that situation in my real life was resolved, I now almost at will, can fly whenever I feel like it. Whether I realize I am dreaming or not…and recently I have been able to control very aspects of my dreams. Example- I was having a dream and realized it was just that, so I began thinking of various people in my life, calling names…one by one, they would appear before me…it was strange, yet very peaceful.
I keep having dreams of a girl that I was but still am in love with…we unfortunataly never got together, yet in my dreams she is always the one I am looking for…and when she appears, knowing I can fly at will, I hold her and fly off with her in my arms. Now I don’t know what that is supposed to mean, but I know I can ‘bring her in’ to my dreams whenver I think about it. It freaks me out because we are not together, yet this strong bond still remains in and out of dreams states.
I asked someone this and they said they think that the girl I am still in love with is my sprit guide…and I’m not familiar with any of these terms?? Any suggestions?comments?? THANK YOU very much.
A spirit guide is meant to be a DC that helps teach you LD’ing stuff. Whether they’re real beings, or simply a part of your mind is up to your beliefs.
That girl doesn’t sound like a SG. It’s very unlikely she’s a real person too (search for ‘shared dreaming’ using the search function near the top of the page).
I think, chances are, she’s a normal DC and apears alot because the way you feel for the real version of her. Or perhaps she apears alot because now you have become to expect her to be their (dreams - especially lucid dreams - are very easily affected by what you expect).
Now it’s my turn to ask a question .
In these dreams, how does the girl act (Does she say much? Does she show emotions? Does she act like she does in real life? Have you ever tried having a conversation with her and if so, then how did it go?)?
a SG is an entity that helps you in your life on this earth. She/he/it can help you in your dreams but is not nescesarily there to help you have LD’s. You can however have a Dream Guide - that will be like a SG but then specialized in helping you in your dreams.
so i wouldn’t say this girl is your SG, unless your SG choses to appear as that girl inside your dreams. As surreal already asked - does she reply coherently to questions, etc?
Why dont you ask her in your next LD if she is your SG?
She doesn’t say much in the dreams…she is prettty quiet. And she is usually the first person I look for when I lucid dream…she appears and just kinda looks at me without saying much. A lot of times we hug. Other times we pass right by each other. I wouldn’t say she shows a lot of emotions…You could say I do moreso than her.
She acts very little like she does in real life…when she smiles, it’s the exact same smile as I’ve seen. But, when she is quiet, it seems like she is sad…I don’t know, it’s pretty strange. You would think I would ask her why we didn’t end up together, or if she loved me…but that’s never the case. I just look for her, a lot of times she is there, other times, I simply cannot find her.
I’ll try and ask her next time why she is in my dreams…hopefully I get something out of her…I haven’t seen her in a few months, but we still keep in touch. It’s weird, sometimes I can’t even remember her face (I don’t know if I’m subconsciously doing it, because I’m trying to get past her…) but in the dreams, there she is, exactly as I remember her when she was 2 ft away from me.
