Worrying about the thought that it might not be a dream is definitely not going to help in becoming lucid or staying in the dream.
Just pick up off the ground, and float out the window instead of jumping! If it turns out you’re really awake, obviously you aren’t going to be able to do that.
In my first LD’s as soon as I became lucid I’d frantically search for a window to jump through. Usually I’d pass through the glass like a ghost, which wasn’t cool, I wanted it to shatter! One time I ran full speed to the window (since I had/still have dream stability issues when lucid and wanted to do something before waking up) and jumped out, falling 3 - 4 stories to the ground and went into it kinda like the Matrix, only I kept falling through and saw roots from plants and stuff and woke up.
in my one 10 second lucid dream, I jumped up to see if I was dreaming, and I just kept going up and up and up, one arm in the air - superman style. Then I woke up, damnit.
I just wanted to see how much pain I could take, so I teleported to the Empire State Building made a pool of hypadermic needles and jumped into them, I didn’t feel anything at all and it kind of tickled actually.
That sounds naaaaast-y! With a capital NAAAAAAAAST. Out of all the things you could have tried… personally, I would have stuck to how much chocolate can I eat before it hurts, or something like that
lol nice ilovelucid, see its pretty fun when you experiment that way, and alot of times when you do that the most random things will popup out of nowhere and try to save you, thats the best part.
Sorry if this is too off topic you can move it if you want. lol talkin about funny dreams i had one where a nuclear warhead was about to drop and i remembered that your supposed to hug enemies/scary things in your dream then ask for a prize so i did hug the nuke! but then i blew into a few milion pieces rofl note i wasnt even lucid how wierd i was still laughing even when i woke up
haha, now that is a crazy thought - how you were still able to materialise thoughts, with your body and brains being in a million places! if you remembered that you’re supposed to hug stuff, you must have made that conscious decision in your dream, hence you must have been lucid, no?
Well, when I first started lucid dream a while ago, I used to be able to jump really high, or float a little ways, but never really fly. I found with effort I could fly at low speeds and at low altitudes, but it wasn’t untill I actually stopped putting so much effort into it that I really got good at it. I got to the point where I would fly with the same intent as I’d move my arm, or leg, I just did it. Concentration seemed to drag me back down to the ground.
Unfourtunatly I’ve been a bit out of practise lately, as soon as I really started getting good at LDing (and flying) I got very busy with school and decided to take a break
Indeed. Those who can’t fly at will believe they can’t. Once you realise that, its gets as easy as moving an arm. And this counts for nearly anything during a LD!
