Now im not sure if dream scapes is the right word but im pretty sure you will work out what im talking about if it isnt.
Firstly, a little bit about my self, Ive lucid dreamed before but i didnt know there was a such following etc till i stumbled accross this website today. But something about my own dreams has amazed me for years. Ever since i was a little kid we have had a holiday house in a small town on a lake which ive allways loved. In my dreams when im there it is completely different, nothing crazy but amazingly different layout. What really amazes me is that the place in my dreams hasnt changed since i was a kid.
Now im not good at remember my dreams, but the version in my head allways has amazed me, ive allways wished i could take a picture, or record my dream etc etc to show other people the version of said place inside my head
Has anyone else had a similar experience and actually drew pictures etc like a pictorial diary?
this sounds so familiar i wonder why dreamscapes stay like this, so stable from dream to dream, and so different from real life. i have drawn several of my favourites, and also add pictures to the dream diary when an image stands out. for me, it makes the dreamscapes even more vivid, and it is a great source of inspiration. i recommend it highly. for example, it is possible to draw a map and add detail for every new dream…
I tried this recently unfortunately the rememberance of the scape i was trying to draw ended up being too vague. Hard to draw it how it was in my head when it’s like that, I’d also like to sketch some of the odder DCs
Yep I’ve drawn a few pictures. I’m not good at drawing, so they usually don’t do justice to the actual scene, but I try and draw them for accuracy (or as much as my limited skills allow) rather than atmosphere. I find they really help to explain certain things where written descriptions wouldn’t mean much. Most of them are hiding out in my dream journal currently, although one migrated to my avatar…
There are certain scenes from my dreams that I’ve always wanted to paint. Drawing just doesn’t seem like it would do justice to the color saturation of my dreams. The only problem with this is that painting requires paint and somewhere to paint with it, and I don’t have either of those.
I have one place in particular that when a controllable LD happens I go as I enjoy been there. I can remember what it looks like, and it is based on the city I live in; Manchester and, Amsterdam as I lived there for 5months 2yrs ago. It is what you would call a mash-up. I enjoy it, though sometimes some dreams can include new parts or parts that pre-existed but I haven’t visited before. Also I may have a dream where a building falls down and when I am outside the buiding from looking at my surroundings I realise that it is the same city I have been to before or wanted to be before. Though when it comes to drawing the dream-scape I am never too sure what it looks like as it is dynamic. Though if I were to draw a plan of it, this would be simpler. When in the dream and it is controllable I know exactly where to go to get what I want or desire.
does anybody have any tips on how to make the dream-scape become more static and less dynamic ?
Yeah i am not much of an artist but i do concider myself a king of MS Paint, so ill draw up the dream scape in MS Paint next time im there
As for the dynamic dream scape, im not sure how but i would think that if you did mape it out like you said, once you mapped it out eventually in your mind it would be static
My dream scape that i mentioned hasnt changed at all since i was a kid, it amazes me that something soooo far detached from reality, can be so constant
Its been allways in my head to have comic alike dream diary as it would do much better than one where you just write.Putting into words what happened in a dream often seems like flattening them a lot.
But unfortunately i have no skills in drawing at all.I can hardly draw a stick-man,not mentioning properly looking dog or cat( you could as well say its a horse:)
I once tried to sketch what the sky had looked like in one of my most vivid dreams. It was probably the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen, but I have been unsuccessful in trying to put it on paper.
